  • Patent number: 5384994
Abstract: A shelter which repays its construction costs in energy savings over a period of five to seven years. Except for entryways, the shelter is enclosed and has no vented attic or similar spaces below its roof. Roof and walls are skin-stressed panels having a closed cell insulation core between selected structural facings, for example steel. Interior insulation is at the walls and the roof line. Any ceiling below the insulated roof line is at nominal room temperature. Natural lighting enters the shelter via sun-tracking, sun-reflecting skylights. Preferable a plurality of air conditioners, concentric about the skylights, heats and cools the interior of the shelter. An energy program manager monitors and controls electrical usage. The shelter lends itself to many building types and functions. Those skilled in the art will conceive of other embodiments of the invention which may be drawn from the disclosure herein.

  • Patent number: 4198928
Abstract: A comb for use in removing bot eggs from the coats of horses is a thin, reinforced blade with the teeth formed by photo-etching. The spaces between the teeth have a minimum width in the neighborhood of 0.006 to 0.008 inches and a maximum width at their outer ends in the approximate range of from 0.015 to 0.020 inches with the thinness of the steel providing the teeth with effective egg-scraping margins.

  • Patent number: 4047504
Abstract: A grooming implement has hand grips and two blades corresponding edges of which have a lengthwise series of teeth. The blades include parallel, spaced-apart grooming portions that remain substantially parallel when the implement is held by the hand grips with the blades curved as one end of one blade is slidable relative to the other blade.

  • Patent number: 4046109
Abstract: Implements for use in grooming animals, scaling fish, and grating vegetables have at least one blade of the band saw type which includes a loop portion and tail portions and a handle of a material that the blade teeth will cut and having a socket. Each socket is dimensioned slidably to receive the tail portions, if held sufficiently close together, but to be frictionally engaged thereby if not so held after their insertion into the socket and to become engaged by the teeth of the tail portions on any relative movement between them and the handle. The loops are of a shape depending on the primary use of the implement. In the case of animal grooming and fish scaling implements there are several loops, one inside another.
