  • Patent number: 10632891
Abstract: A trailer lift that rises to high levels that may tilt for loading and unloading. The trailer lift includes a lift-and-tilt mechanism, a trailer base, and a trailer platform. The lift-and-tilt mechanism includes a lower-strut link, an upper-strut link, a support member, a lower lift cylinder, and an upper cylinder. The lower-strut link and the upper-strut link are pivotably and terminally attached to each other. The support member is positioned offset to the lower-strut link and is pivotably attached to the upper-strut link to guide the upper-strut link. The trailer platform is terminally and pivotably connected to the upper-strut link. Similarly, the trailer base is pivotably and terminally connected to the lower-strut link and the support member. The upper lift cylinder is pivotably mounted in between the upper-strut link and the trailer platform. The lower lift cylinder is pivotably mounted between the upper-strut link and the lower-strut link.

  • Patent number: 6231370
Abstract: An electrical connector (10) for mounting a leaded electronic component (70) to a circuit board (80) includes a housing (12) having a base (18) with side walls (44) and at least one end wall (30) extending upwardly therefrom together defining a component-receiving cavity (50) extending to an entrance along an insertion face 14. The housing (12) further includes at least first and second terminals (54) disposed in respective terminal-receiving passageways (32). Each terminal (54) has a lead-terminating section (56) exposed to the insertion face (14) for terminating to a respective component lead (80) during component insertion. Side walls (44) include inwardly directed retention latches (46) parallel to and spaced above base (18) and dimensioned to engage and extend over a respective portion of an upper surface of said electronic component to secure said component in said cavity upon full component insertion.

  • Patent number: 6213782
Abstract: An electrical interconnection device comprises a first connector member having a first mating end and a second connector member having a second mating end. The first connector member may be a printed circuit card I/O connector, and the second connector member may be a telecommunications adapter connector such as a modular jack. The first and second connector members are pivotally linked to permit relative angular movement therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5980320
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing which holds a plurality of terminals and a conductive shell which is mounted on the housing. The housing has a wall and a pocket is formed in the wall. The shell has a locking tab which is interference fitted in the pocket, thereby anchoring the shell to the housing. The shell also has a floating tab which is freely received in the pocket and is resiliently engaged with the locking tab.

  • Patent number: 5876240
Abstract: A stacked electrical connector 2 including right angle RJ-45 modular jacks 4 positioned in columns also includes LED's 38 positioned on the front mating face 18 of the connector 2. Internal passages 28 extend from the mating face 18 of the jack housing 18 and intersect channels 34 extending to the bottom pcb mounting face 22 where the connector 2 and jacks 4 are soldered to a printed circuit board. LED leads 42 are located in the passages 28 and contacts 44 are located in channels 34. Insulation displacement slots 48 at the top of the contacts 44 terminate the leads 42. The termination points are staggered and the leads 42 in a column are of different lengths so that contacts 44 of different lengths can engage corresponding leads 42. LED's 38 can thus be positioned beside mating openings 20 on the front of the connector 2 to provide status indications.

  • Patent number: 5766041
Abstract: A shield for an electrical connector for being mounted in a panel cutout (62), wherein spring fingers (46,102,202,302) of the shield are engaged with surfaces defining the panel cutout (62) and are deflected thereby toward sides of the connector. Free ends (48,104,204,304) of the spring fingers are so formed that upon spring arm deflection the free ends enter into electrical engagement with other portions (54,108,210,310) of the shield to enhance the shielding effectiveness.
