  • Patent number: 9179958
Abstract: A delivery device for semi-solid implantable material such as synthetic bone graft substitutes. The device includes a handle, a cylinder extending from the handle and having an outlet at its distal end. A piston is operated by a trigger and is slidable within the cylinder to displace the material from the cylinder. The cylinder has a substantially constant inner diameter along its entire length such that the outlet has substantially the same inner diameter as the rest of the cylinder. When the trigger is fully depressed, a ratchet mechanism is disengaged allowing the piston to be pulled back to a starting position.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 8439930
Abstract: A delivery device for semi-solid implantable material such as synthetic bone graft substitutes. The device comprises a handle (1), a cylinder (2) extending from the handle and having an outlet at its distal end. A piston (23) is operated by a trigger (5) and is slidable within the cylinder to displace the material from the cylinder. The cylinder has a substantially constant inner diameter along its entire length such that the outlet has substantially the same inner diameter as the rest of the cylinder. When the trigger is fully depressed, a ratchet mechanism (14, 32) is disengaged allowing the piston to be pulled back to a starting position.

  • Publication number: 20040187885
Abstract: A cosmetics brush [[1]] for applying lipstick that can be stored within a lipstick tube [[6]] containing a partially used lipstick [[4]], thus allowing the brush [[1]] to be conveniently stored and transported when not required for application of lipstick. The invention additionally provides a mirror arrangement [[30]] for attachment to a lipstick tube so that the lipstick tube and mirror arrangement [[30]] can be conveniently carried together. The mirror arrangement [[30]] preferably comprises a rectangular portion of mirrored glass or plastic [[31]] sized to generally correspond to the length and width of a typical lipstick case, and may be attached to the lipstick case by a resilient band.

  • Patent number: 6357141
Abstract: An evaporating system for evaporating solvents from chemical samples held in supply plates, which accelerate evaporation by warming the samples in a hot air bath. The system includes adapters to allow the use of supply plates of varying heights, such as either standard micro-plates or deep well micro-plates.

  • Patent number: 5928952
Abstract: A processing system for processing a plurality of products, the system including a plurality of interchangeable units arranged to sequentially receive the products and each having a work station for effecting a specific operation on each of the products, the operation requiring a given time period; and wherein each work station accommodates simultaneously a predetermined number of the products, and the given time period and predetermined number associated with each unit are different than the given time periods and predetermined numbers of other said units. A transport system transports the products through the processing system so as to provide for each product a common occupancy time therein.
