  • Patent number: 11135743
Abstract: Processing sized fiber products to recover reinforcing fibers by removing fiber sizing material from the reinforcing fibers. The processing includes first treating the sized fiber product with a normally-liquid first solvent for fiber sizing material followed by removal of the first solvent from the first solid residue including reinforcing fibers. The removal of the first solvent from the continuous reinforcing fibers may include heating the fibers and/or second treating the first solid residue with a normally-gaseous material contacted with the solid residue under conditions of temperature and pressure at which the normally-gaseous material is in a liquid or supercritical fluid form. The processing may be performed in a continuous manner to recover the continuous reinforcing fibers in a continuous form.

  • Patent number: 10964414
Abstract: In some embodiments, a device includes a memory and a processor. The memory is operatively coupled to the processor and configured to store encrypted personal data. The processor is configured to receive query and a personal identifier from a user. Based on the query, the processor further identifies and retrieves a portion of the associated encrypted personal data from the memory. Using the personal identifier, the processor produces decrypted personal data by decrypting a portion of the retrieved encrypted personal data. The processor is further configured to analyze the decrypted personal data to identify a result of the query. The result is sent to the user without sending the decrypted personal data.

  • Patent number: 9996679
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method includes sending an authentication request to a client device to obtain a utilization code in response to a request from the client device to access data. The utilization code is uniquely associated with the client device. The method includes obtaining an authentication response including the utilization code from the client device and authenticating the client device if the utilization code matches a utilization identifier stored in a database. The method includes generating an encryption key using a seed based at least in part on the utilization code and encrypting the data with the encryption key to generate encrypted data and sending, when the utilization code matches the utilization identifier stored in the database, the encrypted data to the client device without requiring a user of the client device to login.

  • Patent number: 9992444
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method includes receiving, at a device, digital audio content to be converted by a digital-to-analog converter to produce analog audio content. The digital audio content has at least one audible frequency. The method also includes selecting, at the device, a first signal and a second signal to output with the analog audio content. The first signal has an inaudible carrier frequency and a bandwidth, and the second signal also has an inaudible carrier frequency and a bandwidth. A difference between the first signal and the second signal is an undesired audible signal. The method further includes outputting, from the device, the analog audio content, the first signal and the second signal, such that when the analog audio content is detected by a recording device the undesired audible signal is detected with the analog audio content.

  • Publication number: 20150209213
Abstract: A wearable crutches device in its primary form has an adjustable belt to which two adjustable length and pivoting crutches are affixed on each side. When the belt is worn around a person's waist, the tops of the crutches make contact with the wearers armpits. A wearable crutches device in its secondary form has an articulated device attached to the bottom of one or both sides of the primary form of the invention. The articulated device consists of two adjustable length metal tubes connected end to end with a flexible joint and which attaches to the sides of the wearers leg(s), the bottom of which comes in contact with the walking surface when standing or walking.

  • Patent number: 8627415
Abstract: A method for securing intellectual property includes establishing contact between an IP server and a client. At least two component codes are shared and pre-stored in both the player and the server prior to ordering the intellectual property. The IP server accepts an order for an intellectual property product from the client. The IP server creates a shared private key based on the pre-stored shared component codes and an additional shared component code at the time the intellectual property product is ordered. The shared private key is not distributed to the player software. The IP server encrypts the intellectual property product with the created shared private key prior to distribution to the client. The intellectual property product further comprises content data and rights data in digital form. The IP server electronically distributes the intellectual property product to the client in encrypted form without the shared private key.

  • Patent number: 8131993
Abstract: A system and method for securing intellectual property rights in distributed intellectual property. Rights are granted and policed in electronically distributed intellectual property. Use limitations are established by agreement by the content provider and the client. The use limitations are reflected in time-based, usage-based and player based component codes that are used to determine if the client is entitled to use the intellectual property. Intellectual property is protected from unauthorized use by encrypting the intellectual property with a key created from some or all of the component codes. As the component codes are known to both the client and the content provider, no key exchange is required.
