  • Publication number: 20230088581
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for predicting microservices required for incoming requests for reducing the start latency of serverless microservices. The method may include obtaining tracing data of microservices of an application for historical requests processed by the application. The method may also include grouping the tracing data based on common request attributes. The method may also include aggregating each group into rules relating the common request attributes to lists of microservices. The method may also include building a predictive model formed of the rules for processing incoming requests to obtain a list of predicted microservices required for the incoming request based on attributes of the incoming request.

  • Patent number: 11577727
Abstract: A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. An integrated actuator housing includes a single external power access for the shift actuator. A controller interprets a shaft displacement angle, determines if the transmission is in an imminent zero or zero torque region, and performs a transmission operation in response to the transmission in the imminent zero or zero torque region.

  • Patent number: 11562632
Abstract: The present disclosure provides improved packaging detection at self-checkout kiosks by identifying a given bag type for a bag selected at a self-checkout kiosk out of a plurality of bag types available from a bag dispenser associated with the self-checkout kiosk; identifying a weight range for the given bag type; in response to determining that the bag has been moved to a packing area of the self-checkout kiosk, comparing a first weight in the packing area from before the bag was moved to the packing area with a second weight in the packing area that includes the bag; and in response to a difference between the first weight and the second weight falling outside of the weight range, generating a loss prevention alert and pausing a transaction at the self-checkout kiosk.

  • Patent number: 11446800
Abstract: A method and tool system coaxially orients inner clutch plates with outer clutch plates on a tool. The tool includes a plurality of guide members circumferentially spaced apart, each guide member matingly engages a toothed portion of each inner clutch plate to position the inner clutch plates coaxially. A pre-build fixture includes a plurality of alignment pillars, at least one support block, and an alignment member. The alignment pillars are circumferentially spaced apart about a fixture axis. Each alignment pillar has a curved inner face that faces radially inward and has an arclength that is configured to coincide with and fit within a corresponding gap between radially outward facing teeth of each outer clutch plate. The support block supports the tool coaxially with the fixture. The alignment member engages the tool to inhibit rotation of the tool when the tool is supported coaxially with the fixture by the support block.

  • Publication number: 20220253347
Abstract: A process or may reduce start latency of serverless microservices. The processor may detect an incoming request or event to an application in a serverless microservice environment. The incoming request or event may initiate a chain of invocations of one or more microservices of the application. The processor may select an amount of selected microservices from the one or more microservices of the application. The amount of selected microservices may perform a task of the incoming request or event. The task may apply one or more predefined application-specific rules to one or more elements of the incoming request or event to determine the amount of selected microservices. The processor may trigger scaling up activation of the one or more microservices of the application. The processor may invoke the one or more microservices of the application to match the amount of selected microservices.
