  • Publication number: 20220371976
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the oxidation of santalene to santalol. The starting material is in particular a mixture comprising alpha-santalene, beta-santalene, epi-beta-santalene, trans-alpha-bergamotene and beta-bisabolene. The oxidation of the santalenes occurs via an intermediate chloro-santalene compound. Substitution of the chloro-substituent by acetate yielded the mixture of the corresponding santalyl actates, which were hydrolyzed to yield the corresponding mixture of santalols.

  • Publication number: 20110098488
Abstract: Oxidation of organic substrates by means of singlet oxygen, in which organic substrates which react with 1O2 are admixed with 10-70% H2O2 in an organic solvent in the presence of a molybdate LDH catalyst modified by ethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol or polyol, and the catalytic decomposition of H2O2 to water and 1O2 is then followed by the oxidation to the corresponding oxidation products, and also modified molybdate LDH catalysts.

  • Patent number: 6956137
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for oxidizing organic substrates using 1O2 in which hydrophobic organic substrates that react with 1O2 are added to an organic solvent in the presence of a heterogeneous or homogeneous catalyst with 30–70% being compr Afterwards, H2O2 is catalytically decomposed into water and 1O2, and the oxidation into corresponding oxidation products ensues.

  • Publication number: 20050090687
Abstract: A method for oxidizing primary amino alcohol, primary or secondary alkenol or alkynol to the corresponding acid or ketone, wherein a primary amino alcohol, a primary or secondary alkenol or alkynol as a substrate is oxidized to the corresponding ketone in the presence of an equimolar amount or a molar excess, based on the alcoholic hydroxyl groups, of periodate, catalytic amounts of dichromate or CrO3, and in the presence of an acid, in water, a water/solvent mixture or in a solvent at a temperature of ?20° C. to +50° C. to give the corresponding acid or corresponding ketone.

  • Publication number: 20040220416
Abstract: Improved process for the oxidation of organic substrates by means of 1O2, in which 3-90% strength H2O2 is added to organic substrates which are soluble in water or in organic solvents miscible with water and which react with 1O2, in a water-miscible organic solvent, in water or in a mixture of water and water-miscible organic solvent in the presence of a heterogeneous or homogeneous catalyst, whereupon, following the catalytic decomposition of H2O2 to give water and 1O2, the oxidation of the substrates to give the corresponding oxidation products takes place, where, during the reaction, water is selectively removed from the reaction mixture by means of membranes.

  • Patent number: 6593494
Abstract: Process for the oxidation of aldehydes to the corresponding acids in which an aldehyde as substrate is oxidized to the corresponding acid in the presence of an equimolar amount, or a molar excess, of periodate, catalytic amounts of dichromate or CrO3, and in the presence of an acid in water, a water/solvent mixture or in a solvent at a temperature of −20° C. to +50° C.

  • Publication number: 20030045751
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for oxidizing primary amino alcohols, primary or secondary alkenols or alkinols into the corresponding acids or ketones. According to said method, a primary amino alcohol or a primary or secondary alkenol or alkinol is oxidized in the form of a substrate, in the presence of an equimolar quantity of periodate or a molar excess thereof in relation to the alcoholic hydroxy groups and catalytic quantities of dichromate or CrO3 and in the presence of an acid in water, a water/solvent mixture or a solvent at a temperature of −20 ° C. to +50 ° C., to produce the corresponding acid or the corresponding ketone.

  • Patent number: 6486360
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for oxidizing organic substrate by using 1O2. According to the inventive method, organic substrates that react with 1O2 are mixed with 30-70% H2O2 in water, in an organic solvent or in a mixture thereof in the presence of a lanthanide as the catalyst. H2O2 is catalytically decomposed to water and 1O2 and is then oxidized to the corresponding oxidation products.
