  • Publication number: 20210368853
Abstract: An orally inhalable formulation is provided comprising nicotine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a monohydric alcohol, menthol or a menthol-containing essential oil and a propellant. The formulation may be provided in a pressurized metered dose inhaler.

  • Publication number: 20070051363
Abstract: A flexible bag aerosol holding chamber is sealed around the outlet passage of the actuator for a pressurized metered-dose inhaler. An elastic-loaded mouthpiece is sealed around the inlet passage of the actuator so that the user may intermittently break the seal around the inlet passage by withdrawing the mouthpiece, thus allowing inhalation of a portion of the aerosol contents of the chamber. In a preferred embodiment the invention the aerosol contains a compound which has traditionally been smoked such as nicotine or a cannabinoid, The user may draw upon the chamber's contents a number of times at a frequency analogous to smoking until the chamber is fully collapsed. One inhaler actuation, and one filled chamber, are comparable to one cigarette. The collapsible bag chamber allows for economy of inhaler actuations relative to user inhalations, without the aerosol being diluted by ambient air.

  • Publication number: 20070023529
Abstract: The present invention provides a data transfer system apparatus that automatically loads the necessary drivers and code through two interface elements to facilitate the transfer of electronic data from one EDP to another. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention the apparatus consists of a cable, USB interface plug, floppy drive transfer device (diskette), processor, controller, memory, circuitry components and software code. The electronic components and software applications are contained in the cable housing unit. Each interface element is attached at one end of the cable so they can be inserted into the respective EDP interfaces. Insertion of the apparatus into the EDP interfaces automatically triggers the execution of the embedded software for auto loading of the necessary code to control the transfer of the data directly from one EDP to the other.

  • Publication number: 20070003921
Abstract: The infrared spectrum of cells or tissues in the frequency range 900cm?1-1750cm?1 is digitally separated by the method of the invention into the component contributions by protein, RNA and DNA. By comparing the relative sizes of the component spectra, relative quantities of these components can be specified. The ratios protein/DNA and RNA/DNA can be used to quantify the degree of cellular biosynthesis for the purpose of grading the aggressiveness of cancer cells. The ratio nucleic acid/protein may be used to measure the nuclear cell content of blood for the purpose of quantifying the degree of systemic inflammation. The advantage of the method is in its' minimal sample size requirement and low cost.

  • Publication number: 20060273625
Abstract: A twin bag inflatable rear airfoil for truck or transport trailer with attached shelves that bridge the surface gap between the trailer side and top surfaces, and the corresponding side and top surfaces of the inflatable bags. Shelves also bridge the upper surface gap between the two bags and provide a platform to deploy a collapsible yaw control fin. Another set of panels provide airfoil surfaces in the ground domain and are integral to the organised automatic folding and stowage of the apparatus. Interrupted ribs stiffen the inflatable surfaces while allowing them to fold in an orderly manner.
