  • Publication number: 20240018963
Abstract: A material mover assembly, comprising a chamber having an inlet and an outlet; a first paddle; and a second paddle, wherein the first paddle is positioned in and configured to rotate circumferentially in the chamber, the second paddle is positioned in and configured to rotate circumferentially in the chamber, or is configured to be inserted into and retracted out of the chamber, and wherein relative motion of the first paddle and the second paddle causes material to be pulled into the chamber via the inlet and pushed out of the chamber via the outlet in a forward direction. A material mover assembly may be reversible in pumping direction and further may be used as an energy generator in either direction.

  • Publication number: 20230323646
Abstract: A faucet waterway assembly is provided having a housing comprising a first valve for controlling flow of hot water and second valve for controlling flow of cold water. A first handle interface is configured to attach to a first handle for controlling the first valve and to rotate about a first axis of rotation that is spaced apart from the housing. A first mechanical transmission device is provided coupled to the first handle interface and coupled to the first valve, wherein rotation of the first handle interface about the first axis of rotation causes the mechanical transmission device to cause rotation of the first valve about a second axis of rotation to control the flow of hot water. A second handle interface for controlling the second valve is provided, along with a corresponding second mechanical transmission device for coupling the second handle interface to the second valve.

  • Publication number: 20160262759
Abstract: A surgical fastener applying apparatus comprising a cartridge section having a cartridge containing a plurality of fasteners and an anvil section having an anvil for receiving the fasteners when advanced from the cartridge. The cartridge and anvil sections clamp tissue therebetween. A cam member is slidable within the cartridge section to fire the fasteners, and is movable from a first position defining a first distance from the anvil to a second position defining a second different distance from the anvil. A cam adjusting member is operably associated with the cam member and moves the cam member from the first position to the second position in response to a thickness of tissue clamped between the anvil and cartridge sections.

  • Patent number: 7318354
Abstract: A magnetoinductive flowmeter for measuring the flow rate of a moving medium includes a measuring tube conducting the medium, and an insert provided in the measuring tube. The insert consists of at least one first part and one second part which first part is introduced into the measuring tube from one end of the measuring tube while the second part, introduced into the measuring tube from the other end of the measuring tube, is joined with the first part in leak-proof fashion. The result is an easy-to-install insert that ensures secure and maintainable retention.

  • Patent number: 7261001
Abstract: A magnetoinductive flowmeter includes a measuring tube, a magnetic field device serving to generate and guide a magnetic field at least part of which permeates the measuring tube, and two electrodes for collecting a voltage induced in a medium as it flows through the measuring tube. The electrodes are so positioned, without connection to the magnetic field device, that their longitudinal axes extend at an angle diverging from zero relative to the direction of the voltage induction. In this uncomplicated fashion, a large effective electrode surface is made available for collecting the voltage induced in the medium. A method for producing the flowmeter is also described.
