  • Patent number: 11721003
Abstract: An apparatus and related methods for enhancing low dynamic range and high dynamic range digital images. The process converts single digital images into a form that can be shown on traditional electronic and computer displays and paper prints through luminance mapping and tone mapping functions. These functions require the calculation of values for each pixel within the digital image. The values calculated include, but are not limited to, color, grey-level, and luminance. The present apparatus and method builds upon the tone mapping process by combining log-average luminance values of various sized neighborhood tiles with the global log-average luminance of the entire image.

  • Patent number: 11547254
Abstract: Hand held vacuum cleaning apparatus (100) includes an elongate housing (122) which is cylindrical in shape. The housing (122) defines an inlet opening (108), an interior (124) and an exhaust opening (118). The housing (122) further defines, within the interior (124), a receptacle receiving chamber (112) in which, in use, a removable dust retaining receptacle (115) is located. The receptacle receiving chamber (112) is substantially circular in cross section and comprises substantially the whole of the diameter of the interior (124) in cross section. The apparatus (100) includes a flow inducer (117) located in the interior (124). In use, the flow inducer (117) induces air flow from the inlet opening (108), through the receptacle (115) in the chamber (112), through the flow inducer (117) to the exhaust opening (118).

  • Patent number: 8398111
Abstract: An improved pushchair frame (10) of a type that can be collapsed for ease of transport or storage etc. The frame comprising a push/pull handle (12), a front wheel frame (14) on which at least one front wheel (16) is rotatably mounted and a rear wheel frame (18) on which at least one rear wheel (20) is rotatably mounted. The frame comprising a seat mounting yoke (22) to which the front and rear wheel frames are coupled, at least one of the front and rear wheel frames being pivotably coupled to the yoke, the frames having an operating position in which they are spaced from one another and a stowed position in which they are generally adjacent one another. The seat mounting yoke is rotatable, relative to at least one of the front and rear wheel frames, between an operating position and a stowed position in which the yoke is located generally adjacent one of the front and rear wheel frames. A retaining means maintains the yoke and the front and rear wheel frames in their operating position.

  • Patent number: 8376375
Abstract: A pushchair seat (10) comprising a seat back (18) mounted for pivotable movement relative to a seat base (20). A bumper bar (14) is pivotably coupled to and carried by the seat (10) and is moveable between a stowed position generally adjacent to the seat base (20) and a deployed position spaced from the seat back (18) and the seat base (20). Drive mechanisms (16) are provided at each end of the bumper bar (14) and comprise a selectively engageable coupling mechanism in the form of a clutch mechanism (30, 32) and a control mechanism (34, 56, 58). The coupling mechanism couples movement of the seat back (18) between its stowed position and its operating position into a corresponding movement of the bumper bar (14) between its stowed position and its deployed position.

  • Patent number: 7367085
Abstract: A floor tool for use in vacuum cleaning floor surfaces includes a sole plate for engaging with a floor surface, a supporting body for the sole plate having means such as wheels or rollers for allowing the body to ride along the floor surface and an outlet conduit for coupling to a wand of a vacuum cleaner. The outlet conduit is mounted to the support platform by a connecting arm, a first end of the connecting arm being pivotally connected to the outlet conduit about a first axis and the second end of the connecting arm being pivotally connected to the supporting body about a second axis. The first and second axes are substantially parallel to one another. Fluid flow from the sole plate can be carried by a flexible hose or by the connecting arm itself.

  • Patent number: 7069620
Abstract: A floor tool for use in vacuum cleaning floor surfaces includes a sole plate that has a suction channel formed in it. The suction channel is bounded on at least one side by a working edge for engaging with the floor surface. Lint pickers are positioned alongside the suction channel and are separated from the suction channel by the working edge. The lint pickers are mounted on a surface of the floor tool which is inclined with respect to the plane in which the working edges lie. The sole plate is pivotally mounted with respect to a suction outlet so that movement of the floor tool in a forward and backwards direction alternately brings one of the working edges into closer contact with the floor surface.
