Workstring comprises at least one packer apparatus comprising a body portion and an elastomeric packer element which is deformable into an outwardly deployed condition to deform wellbore casing. A fluid accumulator is provided to hold fluid to actuate at least one hydraulic cylinder of the packer apparatus. An electrically powered pump is operable to pump fluid from accumulator into the hydraulic cylinders of packer apparatus to deform the elastomeric packer element outwardly. A wireline connects the workstring to the surface and provides electrical power to the workstring. Wireline may be an electrical feed such as a composite rod or e-coil.

  • Publication number: 20220298885
Abstract: A packer apparatus is disclosed. Packer apparatus comprises a body configured to be disposed in a wellbore and a deformable packer element disposed on the body. The deformable packer element comprises a deformable metallic outer cover. An actuation apparatus is configured to move relative to the body to deform said deformable packer element outwardly from the body to cause the deformable metallic outer cover to contact the surface of the wellbore or casing in which the apparatus is located. Deactivation of the actuation apparatus causes the deformable packer element and deformable metallic outer cover to return to a retracted condition.

  • Publication number: 20220299151
Abstract: A casing patch expansion apparatus is described. Casing patch expansion apparatus comprises a body on which at least one deformable packer element is mounted. Casing patch expansion means comprises at least one hydraulic cylinder. An increase in fluid pressure in at least one hydraulic cylinder causes compression of deformable packer element to deform the deformable packer element into an outwardly deployed condition to deform a casing patch mounted to the apparatus against a casing in a wellbore. Casing patch retention means comprises at least one retaining element arranged to engage casing patch mounted to the apparatus to retain the casing patch on the apparatus. An increase in fluid pressure in the apparatus causes retaining element to release the casing patch to enable the apparatus to move relative to the casing patch.

  • Publication number: 20210310313
Abstract: A drill string for use in the directional drilling of wellbores is described. A downhole reamer apparatus (202) is mounted in a drill string incorporating a drilling motor (300), stabiliser (302) and drill bit (304) operable either by rotation of the drill string or activation of the drilling motor (300). The drill string is located in wellbore (306) at the end of drill pipe (310). If the operator wishes to drill upwardly, the reamer elements are locked in the retracted condition. This results in the reamer apparatus being under gauge which results in build angle (308) pointing the drill bit upwardly.
