  • Patent number: 11752550
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a sized powder metal component having improved fatigue strength. The method includes the sequential steps of solutionizing a sintered powder metal component and quenching the sintered powder metal component, sizing the sintered powder metal component to form a sized powder metal component, re-solutionizing the sized powder metal component, and ageing the sized powder metal component. The sized powder metal component made by this method, in which the component is re-solutionized between sizing before ageing, can exhibit exceptional improvements in fatigue strength compared to components prepared similarly but that are not re-solutionized.

  • Patent number: 11326352
Abstract: A method of manufacturing building-wall flexible cladding (12) for a wall of a building so that a cladding outer surface of the building-wall flexible cladding (12) matches or substantially matches a textured wall surface of the wall of the building. This is first achieved by selecting the wall to be modelled (S101) and forming an impression of the wall (S102). An absorbent flexible substrate (18) is provided (S103), and a wet mixture (24) created (S105) and applied to the substrate (18, S106) to form one or more tiles (24a). The wet mixture (24) is textured by applying the impression so that the cladding outer surface corresponds or substantially corresponds to the said textured wall surface (S108). Finally, the textured wet mixture is cured (S109).

  • Patent number: 11273489
Abstract: The mechanical properties and thermal resistance of a sintered component made from an Al—Cu—Mg—Sn alloy powder metal mixture can be improved by doping the Al—Cu—Mg—Sn alloy powder metal mixture with a silicon addition. Silicon is added as a constituent to the Al—Cu—Mg—Sn alloy powder metal mixture. The Al—Cu—Mg—Sn alloy powder metal mixture is compacted to form a preform and the preform is sintered to form the sintered component.

  • Publication number: 20190315530
Abstract: The invention described herein relates to a threadless cap for a threadless bottle, the threadless cap comprising a threadless outer cap and a threadless inner cap, wherein the threadless inner cap is received in the threadless outer cap so as to define an annulus between them. When assembled, a bottle is received in the annulus with a portion of the threadless inner cap creating a plug that seals the bottle and a portion of the threadless outer cap over hanging the bottle. Both the outer cap and the inner sealingly engage the bottle using a threadless friction fit. To remove the cap from the bottle, one simply slides the cap off the bottle.
