  • Patent number: 7396077
Abstract: A seat structure is comprised of a support frame having an elastic fabric sheet secured to the frame along opposed lateral sides of the frame and extends across a top seating portion or front part of a backrest thereof. In one embodiment of the invention one or two extensor members are displaceably positioned between the frame and the elastic fabric sheet to a permanent tensioning position where the elastic fabric sheet undergoes an upward displacement and stretching sufficient to support an intended load, herein a user person, thereon or thereagainst in a flexible suspension in the seating or backrest portion and free from contact with any hard surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20030188520
Abstract: A filter system for a free-standing air blowing fan having a support stand, motor driven fan blades and a cage about at least portions of the blades, is described. The filter system comprises a filter support hub defined by a solid circumferential wall. The filter support hub is secured about or forms part of the cage. The hub is also provided with filter retention attachments rearwardly thereof for removable securement of a flat annular disc-shaped air filter behind the fan blades and cage. The filter support hub has a projecting air shield front edge projecting forwardly of a central planar axis of the fan blades of the fan to prevent ingress air flow from a front opened end of the filter support hub when the fan is operating. All the ambient air is accordingly drawn from the back through the filter.

  • Patent number: 6344065
Abstract: A vertical air blowing fan having an air filter is described. The vertical fan has an elongated housing provided with a foot support for maintaining the housing upright. The housing is provided with an air inlet opening and an air outlet opening. A cylindrical fan is provided in the housing for drawing ambient air in the inlet opening and out through the outlet opening in a substantially tangential path inside the housing to create a substantial airflow in an area outside the housing. A filter retention member secures a filter frame curved over and against the air inlet opening. The air filter membrane is removably engageable across the opening. The filter membrane is capable of holding its shape when held in position. The filter membrane is retained outwardly curved tight against the air inlet opening of the housing wall whereby the filter delineates a convex shape against the air being drawn into the inlet opening to resist deformation.

  • Patent number: 5393126
Abstract: A composite support frame structure for the construction of a seat. The support structure comprises a rigid continuous rod-like frame formed in a closed loop and having opposed diverging rod-like side members which lie in a common plane and opposed rod-like end members formed integral with the side members. At least one of the end members is arced outwardly. A belt of substantially non-extensible material forms a slightly truncated sleeve, narrower that the frame, to apply a compression force between the side members and to flex the arced end member. The sleeve is retained in tension about the opposed diverging rod-like side members by restoring spring force between the side members exerted by the arced end member.

  • Patent number: 4500297
Abstract: A small watercraft comprised of a main floatation body having a seat portion. A pair of spaced apart side booms or a continuous U-shaped boom extend forwardly of the main floatation body one to each side of the main floatation body. An open area is defined between the side booms. A crank axle is retained transversely across the side booms over the open area. The crank axle has crank formations formed therein to impart axial rotation of opposed end portions of the axle. Water propelling means are secured to each opposed end portions of the axle to propel the floatation body on a water surface.

  • Patent number: 4047342
Abstract: Improvements in area space divider assemblies and components therefore. One component is the bridge means used in connecting two or more wall panels together to provide the divider assembly. The bridge means have projecting longitudinal edges equal in number to the number of panels to be joined together. Receiving means are provided at each end of each projecting edge. The receiving means extend longitudinally inwardly of the bridge means from each end and receive vertically extending connecting means on the panels. The bridge means can comprise a single bridge member for joining two, three or four wall panels together; or a bridge assembly consisting of two, three or four bridge members, joined by links, for connecting two, three or four panels. The invention also relates to novel wall panels and space divider assemblies.
