  • Publication number: 20240131889
Abstract: An example of an apparatus to transport utility-scale lithium-ion batteries in a racked and operational state. The apparatus includes a base and an isolation platform. In addition, the apparatus includes an isolator mounted on the base to support the isolation platform. The isolator is to dampen forces exerted on the isolation platform from the base. Furthermore, the apparatus includes a rack mounted onto the isolation platform. The rack is to secure a plurality of lithium-ion batteries to store energy at a utility-scale to be provided to a power distribution network. The plurality of lithium-ion batteries is racked in an operational state during transportation.

  • Patent number: 11967333
Abstract: A software-based conferencing platform is provided. The platform comprises a plurality of audio sources providing input audio signals, the audio sources including a virtual audio device driver configured to receive far-end input audio signals from a conferencing software module, and a network audio library configured to receive near-end input audio signals from one or more near-end audio devices. The platform further comprises a digital signal processing component configured to receive the input audio signals from the audio sources and generate audio output signals based the received signals, the digital signal processing component comprising an acoustic echo cancellation module configured to apply acoustic echo cancellation techniques to one or more of the near-end input audio signals.

  • Publication number: 20240018721
Abstract: A device for producing a fibrous web, in particular a tissue web, includes a first press having a first felt and a second felt, both of which are guided through a press nip of the first press. A Yankee cylinder dries the fibrous web and a transfer press transfers the fibrous web to the Yankee cylinder. The second felt is also guided through a press nip of the transfer press. A paper-contacting side of the second felt is formed of a nonwoven layer which includes at least 80 wt. %, in particular at least 90 wt. % of nonwoven fibers formed of polyamide or polyamides and having a fineness of 6.7 dtex or less, in particular 3.3 dtex or less. An associated method for producing a fibrous web, in particular a tissue web, is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8880728
Abstract: An audio-visual content delivery system includes an interface to communicate with a local area network (LAN). A packet processing circuit in the system may filter and route Ethernet packet data received from the LAN, to specific ports and/or queues without host processor intervention. The packet processing circuit may utilize a set of filter and routing mechanisms configurable in hardware to interpret various Internet Engineering Task Force networking transport protocols, and may transfer the packet data in a format recognized by a variety of consumer subsystems, each of which may be coupled to the packet processing circuit. The packet processing circuit may be implemented as a semiconductor device, and may allow encapsulated application data to be routed to a plurality of different types of application sinks or processors, forming a point-to-point or multi-point serial or parallel data stream over a standard transport covering numerous levels of the ISO data communications stack.

  • Patent number: 8281031
Abstract: In one embodiment, an audio-visual content delivery system, such as a set-top box/personal video recorder system, is configured to interface with a local area network (LAN). A packet processing circuit comprised in the system may be configured to filter and route Ethernet packet data received from the LAN to specific ports and/or queues without host processor intervention. The packet processing circuit may utilize a set of filter and routing mechanisms configurable in hardware to interpret various Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) networking transport protocols, and may transfer the packet data in a format recognized by a variety of consumer subsystems, each of which may be coupled to the decoder.

  • Patent number: 8190796
Abstract: A memory alignment system for efficient data transfer between a local memory that is configured in a host system, and a remote memory, comprises a data communications controller configured in the host system to align transmitted and received data based on formatting information received from the host system. When transmitting data from local system memory, for example over an Ethernet connection, communications control driver software may first write formatting information corresponding to the data into the data communications controller. The data communications controller is operable to align the data based on the formatting information as the driver software moves the data into a configurable transmit data buffer inside the data communications controller. Similarly, the driver software may write formatting information for receive data into a receive-format configuration buffer.
