  • Patent number: 10653374
Abstract: A portable positron emission tomography (PET) scanner includes a rotatable scan detector ring which can be rotated 90 degrees for imaging a patient in a vertical or horizontal orientation. In the vertical orientation, a patient can be standing or seating such that the aperture of the scan detector ring is raised to allow the patient to be within the scanning region and lower to perform the image scanning on the patient. In the horizontal orientation, a patient must be lying down on a platform whereby the platform is moved within the aperture of the scan detector ring to perform the image scanning on the patient. In this horizontal orientation, the scan detector ring is also stowed and secured to be moved to other scanning locations.

  • Patent number: 9867476
Abstract: An encapsulated zonal dual air and foam spring bed system with noise suppression wherein air zones are created for individual or multiple sleepers that permit costs saving by providing manifold controls to enable a single pump to serve multiple circuits simultaneously (both pressure level increase and pressure level decrease) that is contained within a complete noise deadening structure whose body is easily formed to reduce cost and provide sanitation. Through the reduction of stress by cycling air support between two areas that in unison and each at half pressure support subject fully.

  • Patent number: 6517119
Abstract: A retainer ring connector comprised of a ring situated between matching spokes on both the male and female members of a hose coupling. The ring is contained behind the outwardly extending spokes on the male member. When the male member is inserted into the female member, spokes on the inside of the female member pass between the spokes of the male member and are forced over the ring element which compresses sufficiently to allow the spokes to pass. After the spokes of the female member pass over the compressed ring member, the ring member expands and prevents the male and female members from disengaging and backing away from each other. The spoked retainer ring connector allows for complete rotational movement with preventing the male and female members from separating.

  • Publication number: 20020129466
Abstract: A handle for a mop or other such cleaning instrument is hollow for flow of water from a hose attached to one end of the handle to the work-engaging portion at the other end. A manually operable control moves a stopper between three positions wherein flow through an opening in an internal partition in the handle is fully blocked, partially blocked or fully unblocked. The stopper has a total of three detent members in the form of rounded protrusions and a total of three recess for receiving the detents are formed in the partition. As the operating member is manipulated to move the stopper between its three positions, one detent engages a recess in the fully blocked position, two detents engage respective recesses in the partially blocked position and all three detents engage the three recesses in the fully unblocking position. The provision of three detents and three recesses adds to the stability and reliability of operation of the implement.

  • Patent number: 6257786
Abstract: A sudser unit having an entry port, discharge port, and a fluid conduit. The discharge port and fluid conduit extend along a common longitudinal axis, and the entry port extends along a longitudinal axis that intersects the longitudinal axis of the discharge port and fluid conduit at an oblique angle. A water supply, such as a hose, is operably connected to the entry port. A converging nozzle having an opening of smaller diameter than that of the entry port is attached to the discharge port, and a detergent reservoir is attached to the fluid conduit. A valve is disposed between the reservoir and fluid conduit. A valve is disposed between the reservoir and fluid conduit to permit selective mixing of the water and detergent, and selective metering of the mixed composition.
