  • Publication number: 20240164564
Abstract: The present invention provides a combination oven providing combination steam and convection cooking. The cooking cavity is heated by a heat exchanger system that includes at least one heat exchanger tube. Heat transfer along a length of the heat exchanger tube is facilitated by a heat conductive baffle substantially filling the interior of the heat exchanger tubes in volume and length. Heated gases are forced through the dense and elongated baffle to facilitate heat transfer to the walls of the heat exchanger tube.

  • Publication number: 20190240410
Abstract: It is known to deliver drugs through the skin, i.e. transdermally, by using a needle that is used in conjunction with a device. A device (10), for delivering a needle (110) to an injection site, comprises a rotation member (12) which is rotatable about a reference axis (Aref), the reference axis (Aref) being the central axis of the rotation member (12). The device (10) further including a needle support member (14) which is configured to support a needle (110) in use. The needle support member (14) being fixedly secured to the rotation member (12) such that rotation of the rotation member (12) results in the needle (110) supported by the needle support member (14) in use being delivered to an injection site. The central axis (AOffSet) of the needle support member (14) is parallel to the reference axis (Aref) such that the needle support member (14) is offset from the rotation member (12).

  • Publication number: 20050246591
Abstract: In a method for predicting failure of a disc drive during operation of the disc drive, a write fault count is maintained that corresponds to write faults encountered during write operations to a disc of the disc drive. Additionally, a frequency domain representation of a position error signal of a head of the disc drive is obtained. Finally, failure of the disc drive is predicted based on the write fault count and the frequency domain representation of the position error signal. Another aspect of the present invention relates to a disc drive that is capable of performing the above-described method.

  • Publication number: 20050216800
Abstract: A data storage subsystem in a distributed storage system having a plurality of predictive failure analyzing data storage devices. The subsystem furthermore has a circuit that is responsive to a predicted failure indication by a data storage device in relation to predetermined rules stored in memory for deterministically initiating a preventive recovery either by a data recovery procedure in the data storage device or by a fault tolerance storage arrangement in the subsystem.

  • Publication number: 20040115614
Abstract: The present invention provides a system that is capable of supplying electric field stimulation to a cell and optically monitoring a physiological response of the stimulated cell. The invention also provides methods of eliciting a physiological response in a cell or characterizing the biological activity of a candidate compound using an electrical field stimulation (EFS) device. Such methods are readily amenable to high throughput screen (HTS).
