  • Patent number: 8477977
Abstract: The hearing device comprises a connector (2) having at least one electrical contact (6); and a user control (8); wherein said user control (8) comprises said at least one electrical contact (6). Typically, said connector is a connector for providing a communication connection to said hearing device. The user control can be a pushbutton switch. In one embodiment, said connector comprises at least two electrical contacts (6), and said user control comprises a shorting member (12) for shorting said at least two electrical contacts when operated. In one embodiment, said user control comprises an elastic member (14), which is deformed when said user control is operated, for resetting said user control into its original position. Through this, a small-size hearing device can be realized. The method of operating a hearing device comprises the step of using at least one electrical contact (6) of a connector (2) of said hearing device as a part of a user control (8) of said hearing device.

  • Patent number: 5720081
Abstract: A two-component tool handle, comprised of a yoke member having yoke arms and a grip member, constructed so as to allow the grip member to be lockingly secured to the yoke arms upon simple rotation of the grip member when inserted in yoke arms, to thereby lock the yoke arms together and thereby form a D-shaped tool handle. Detent means, preferably in the form of a protruding member on the grip member, and a recessed portion on the yoke arm members, or vice versa, are provided, which snap into engagement upon the grip member being rotated within the yoke arms from a first position to the third (locked) position.

  • Patent number: 4720206
Abstract: 44A clip for securing a handle shaft in a shaft-receiving opening in a tool is disclosed. The clip comprises a central portion and a tab portion integral with the central portion to project through a radially-directed slot in the structural portion of the tool which surrounds the shaft-receiving opening. One or the other of the central portion or the tab portion is configured for positioning on the interior of the structural portion of the tool which surrounds the shaft-receiving opening, and the other on the exterior. A flange depends from the central portion. The flange has an elongated aperture through which the handle shaft passes. The edge of the aperture remote from the central portion, preferably provided with teeth, is angled and biased towards the handle shaft to anchor it. Instead of the apertured flange, a tongue depending from the central portion and angled and biased towards the handle shaft may be used.
