  • Publication number: 20180328665
Abstract: A skid rider button is provided for use in a steel reheating furnace to reduce gouge-type damage of a steel slab heated in the reheating furnace. The button includes a top surface defining an interface surface area to receive the steel slab to be reheated, a bottom surface couplable with a skid assembly of the reheating furnace, a front surface, a rear surface, and two opposing side surfaces positioned between the front surface and the rear surface. An overall height of the button between the bottom surface and the top surface may be reduced to lower the interface temperature of the button. The interface surface area may be increased to lower the interface temperature of the button. The button may include rounded edges between each of the surfaces to reduce the mechanical impact between the button and the steel slab.

  • Publication number: 20070047942
Abstract: An auto-focusing device with voice coil motor for position feedback comprises a lens holder, a sensor holder, a permanent magnet set, a yoke and a base. The lens holder holds a lens barrel and is wound around with at least two coils wound in opposite directions. The sensor holder holds an image sensor. The permanent magnet set includes at least two permanent magnets stacked together with opposing poles to form a multi-pole permanent magnet set. The permanent magnet set is furnished on the periphery of lens holder and corresponds to the two coils on lens holder. The permanent magnet set is disposed on the yoke to form a close-loop magnetism so as to increase the density of magnetic lines and the efficiency of magnetic force, save power consumption, and extend the service life of device.

  • Patent number: 4694218
Abstract: A coating for reducing specular reflection on optical glass screens comprises a partially hydrolized metal alkoxide polymer. These alkoxides have the general formula M(OR).sub.4 where M is selected from the group consisting of silicon, titanium and zirconium where R is alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon. The equivalent titanium and/or zirconium oxides is about 15% of total solids by weight. A presently preferred coating mixture is prepared by dissolving tetraethyl orthosilicate in alcohol, at an elevated temperature; gradually adding a mixture of nitric acid and water; gradually adding titanium butoxide and/or zirconium n-propoxide; and, adding and mixing additional water and alcohol. The coating is applied by a method comprising the steps of cleaning the surface of the optical glass screen; preheating the glass screen; coating the solution onto the glass screen; and, baking the glass screen and solution, at a temperature high enough to drive off the solvent and bond the coating mixture to the glass surface.
