  • Publication number: 20130221047
Abstract: A strap assembly providing a means to secure large and varying sized articles to the back underside seat rails of a bicycle seat without adding weight or bulk to the bicycle. An attaching loop properly positions the strap assembly to the seat rail, aids in cinching the strap assembly tight and keeps the strap assembly attached to the seat rail when not in use. The attaching loop never permanently tightens so the strap assembly is always easily removed. The strap assembly is small and light enough to fit in a rider's jersey pocket or under-seat tool bag when not in use. The strap assembly negates the need for bicycle equipment bags. The strap assembly can also secure articles to backpacks, garment belts, car-top racks, kayak grab rails, tool boxes, bags and luggage.

  • Publication number: 20130074288
Abstract: A pliable tubular paddle hand grip sleeve that reduces friction, motion, chaffing, wear and ultimately blisters to the hand during the normal paddling motion by isolating the motion to the surfaces between the paddle shaft and hand grip sleeve. The sleeve is slipped on to any paddle shaft without any effect to paddle. The sleeve maintains the cross sectional size and all radial and axial contours of any paddle shaft.

  • Patent number: 8397565
Abstract: A high response air angle probe to measure a flow direction in an air flow near or above Mach one. The probe is rotatably secured within an assembly with marking to indicate when a desired position of the probe within the air flow has been found. The probe includes a row of three high response pressure transducers on a leading edge region to detect when the probe is at a certain position within the air flow.

  • Patent number: 8206086
Abstract: An inlet case for a small gas turbine engine, where the inlet case is formed as a hybrid piece with a metallic inner shroud cylinder and plastic guide vanes and plastic outer shroud molded around the metallic inner shroud cylinder. The metallic inner shroud cylinder carries an electric generator and provides for a good convective heat transfer surface to carry heat away from the electric generator and into the inlet air flow entering the engine. The plastic guide vanes and outer shroud allow for a light weight inlet case assembly that is also much easier to form the airfoil shapes than a machined metallic inlet case. The plastic guide vanes and outer shroud are injection molded around the metallic inner shroud cylinder to produce a rigid single inlet case. The metallic cylinder includes axial extending slots that receive the lower ends of the guide vanes during the injection molding process.

  • Publication number: 20110100154
Abstract: A bicycle hand placement surface element for bicycles with hand brakes mounted on drop style handlebars that creates a new ergonomic hand position while riding the bicycle that reduces stress in the hand, palm, web and wrist while absorbing significant road shock and vibration. This element may be self forming to each riders hand and is significantly larger than the top of a hand brake to better distribute the rider's weight uniformly across the riders palm to reduce high pressure points. This element can be added to an existing hand brake, made as an integral part of the hand brake or mounted separately to the handlebars.

  • Patent number: 7813744
Abstract: A LAN has a wireless portion which includes access points and wireless communications devices and a wired portion which includes such things as routers, servers, and a PBX. The LAN operates in a radio frequency band where certain channels (DFS channels) are shared with a signal that is of higher priority than the communications signals transmitted and received by the access point and the wireless communications devices. If a higher priority signal is sensed on a particular channel of the wireless medium by a master device, it is necessary for all of the slave devices communicating on this channel to stop transmitting on that channel within a short period of time. The wireless communications devices are mobile and can be easily transported around in space or roam during a communications session.
