  • Patent number: 7371381
Abstract: The present invention provides antibodies that immunospecifically bind to a galanin peptide and compositions comprising said antibodies. The present invention also provides methods for preventing, treating, managing, and/or ameliorating hyperproliferative disorders or a symptom thereof comprising administering to a subject in need thereof one or more antibodies that immunospecifically bind to a galanin peptide. The invention also encompasses methods and compositions for diagnosing, monitoring, and prognosing hyperproliferative disorders. The present invention further relates to articles of manufacture and kits comprising antibodies that immunospecifically bind to a galanin peptide.

  • Publication number: 20040253607
Abstract: This invention provides methods for screening populations of phage-displayed polypeptides that are particularly well-suited for high-throughput screening. The methods do not require the clearing of cells from a culture used to obtain the population of phage or other replicable genetic packages. Accordingly, the invention provides methods for forming complexes between a replicable genetic package displaying a polypeptide fusion and a target molecule in an uncleared cell culture containing replicable genetic package. Compositions made up of an uncleared cell culture containing replicable genetic packages displaying a polypeptide fusion and a target molecule are provided in the invention as well.

Inventors: Steffen Nock, Paul D. Kassner
  • Publication number: 20040048311
Abstract: Provided are the use of collections of binding proteins, called capture agents, and their cognate binding partners, called tagged protein libraries, herein for profiling samples. Methods for generating the capture agents, tagged protein libraries and samples are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20030143612
Abstract: Provided herein are addressable collections of anti-tag capture agents, such as antibodies, that are used as tools for sorting proteins containing polypeptide tags for which the capture agents are specific. Also provided are methods of nested sorting using the collections. The methods include the steps of creating tagged collections of molecules by introducing a set of nucleic acid molecules that encode unique preselected polypeptides to create a library of tagged molecules; either before or after introducing the tags, dividing the library into N divisions; translating each division and reacting each with one of N capture agent collections, identifying the capture agents bound to the polypeptide tags linked to molecules of interest, and thereby identifying the one of the divided collections that contains the molecules of interest.
