  • Patent number: 7606449
Abstract: In a method and system for compensating for contamination of a switch or of a load circuit connected to the switch in a switch circuit, on/off signal levels are obtained corresponding to on/off states of said switch based on a polling signal which turns said switch on and off. With each polling signal, the on signal level is compared with the off signal level to determine whether the signal levels differ by more than a defined amount indicating unacceptable switch or switch load circuit contamination. Based on said comparison, a switch or switch load circuit contamination indication output signal is provided indicating whether or not the switch or the switch load circuit has been unacceptably contaminated. This signal is used by said switch circuit for continued operation of said switch circuit or for taking a corrective action if unacceptable switch or switch load circuit contamination is determined.

  • Patent number: 6796476
Abstract: A combustion power framing tool the invention has a nosepiece for driving fasteners, a housing and a combustion chamber that produces primary power held within the housing. A fastener supply, such as a magazine, is attached to the housing to supply the fasteners. The tool has detects a condition and produces a signal based on that condition, then causes the primary power to vary in relation to the signal, returning the primary power to full power following driving of the fastener.

  • Patent number: 5169303
Abstract: An ignition/reignition device for a gas burner which eliminates the isolation transformer of the prior art which includes a capacitive discharge curcuit which is connected to a high voltage transformer so as to provide ignition pulses to ignite a gas burner and which has a flame current amplifier and flame rectification sensors connected to the capacitive discharge circuit so as to control it so that spark discharges will occur if the burner has been turned on and such sparks will continue until ignition and wherein upon disappearance of the flame the sparks will again occur to reignite the burner.
