    Abstract: An apparatus is described for burn-in and/or functional testing of microelectronic circuits of unsingulated wafers. A large number of power, ground, and signal connections can be made to a large number of contacts on a wafer. The apparatus has a cartridge that allows for fanning-in of electric paths. A distribution board has a plurality of interfaces that are strategically positioned to provide a dense configuration. The interfaces are connected through flexible attachments to an array of first connector modules. Each one of the first connector modules can be independently connected to a respective one of a plurality of second connector modules, thereby reducing stresses on a frame of the apparatus. Further features include for example a piston that allows for tight control of forces exerted by terminals onto contacts of a wafer.

    Abstract: An implantable infusion device includes a lightweight, inert housing which contains an infusate for administration to a patient, and an enclosed, gas-impermeable variable volume chamber which contains a pressure source, such as propellant, mechanical spring, or the like. The variable volume chamber may be in the form of a rigid-walled expandable bellows structure or a nonstretchable flexible bag and is attached to the housing so as not to obstruct the entry port for introduction of infusate. The infusate is delivered from the device via a catheter in response to expansion of the variable volume chamber against the volume of infusate in the housing. A separate bolus injection port is provided which allows infusate to be safely introduced directly into the catheter and overrides the controlled pressure-driven delivery. The lightweight housing may include integrally formed needle stops and suture fastening loops.

A diffusion membrane is disposed between the reservoir and outlet for diffusing the drug outwardly therethrough. Internal and external electrodes are disposed on opposite sides of the membrane. The electrodes are porous, and the external electrode is additionally perforate to expose a portion of the membrane at the outlet. The electrodes are electrically powered for driving drug ions through the membrane under electrophoresis to complement diffusion thereof.

    Abstract: An accumulator for an implantable infusion system employs a pair of separated diaphragms movable in unison by a transfer fluid disposed therebetween. A first chamber receives infusate in metered amounts and dispenses the contents as a function of toggled valve operation. During filling, the first diaphragm deflects upward and by pressure transfer causes a corresponding deflection in the second diaphragm. The second diaphragm is biased by springs, gas under pressure or the like. Hence, when the outlet valve opens, the pressure differential across the diaphragm causes downward deflection. No mechanical stops are needed in the infusate chamber for the first diaphragm since its movement is controlled by the pressure differential across the second diaphragm.
