Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing sheet material includes a housing having a chamber configured to hold sheet material and an access door configured to provide both access to the chamber and closure to the chamber. The housing includes a dispensing member supported by the access door. The dispensing member has a first panel and a second panel. At least one panel moves so that the opening in the first panel and the exit port in the second panel align to permit sheet material to be threaded therethrough for loading, and at least one panel moves so that the opening and exit port are moved out of alignment for dispensing the sheet material. A method of installing sheet material in a dispenser.

Abstract: A container is disclosed for dispensing a controlled amount of paper products. The container includes a housing including a first end wall and a plurality of exterior walls defining an interior surface and an interior area within the interior surface for receiving the plurality of paper products. A first, second and third of the exterior walls intersect a first end wall to form a portion of the interior surface and define an open face of the container. The exterior walls further include a fourth wall extending between the second and third walls adjacent the first end wall and the open face. The container defines a dispensing throat extending through the fourth wall adjacent the slit in the cartridge. The first end wall may be slanted relative to the second and third walls. A cartridge is inserted into the interior area of the housing through the open face of the container. The cartridge contains the plurality of paper products to be dispensed.

Abstract: A stacked paper product dispensing cartridge is disclosed including a plurality of walls including side walls and at least one end wall, the end wall having four side edges and each of the side walls having a bottom edge, each of the side edges meeting the bottom edge of a respective one of the side walls to form a bottom corner, the side walls and the end wall defining an interior area therein. A dispensing opening is defined within at least the end wall, and a plurality of side openings are defined within the side walls and spaced from the dispensing opening. Stacked paper products are disposed in the interior area oriented so as to extend substantially perpendicular to at least one of the side walls, the stacked paper products being dispensable out of the interior area through the dispensing opening and wherein at least one of the side openings is configured to allow contact of the stacked paper products from outside of the interior area.

Abstract: A reversible cartridge holding a plurality of paper products and for dispensing a controlled amount of the same from a dispenser housing. The cartridge includes a cartridge body having cartridge walls, the cartridge being insertable into an interior area of a dispenser housing. The cartridge may further include removable sections defined in the cartridge body, removal of at least a portion of the removable portions creating openings in the cartridge. The exterior walls define an interior surface and an interior area within the interior surface for receiving a cartridge holding a plurality of paper products. The cartridge further includes two dispensing throats, a first dispensing throat for dispensing multiple paper products, and the second dispensing throat for dispensing single paper products one at a time. Additional openings could be provided for controlling the dispensing and alignment of the paper products within the cartridge.

Abstract: A dispensing system that includes a housing and a cartridge which is to be inserted into the interior area of the housing. The housing includes a plurality of intersecting exterior sidewalls, a first end wall defining a dispensing throat, a second end wall, and a means for securing a cartridge within the housing. The cartridge includes a flexible bag, a plurality of products compressed within the flexible bag in the dispensing direction, a means for restraining the cartridge within the housing, and a means for releasing the products from the flexible bag.

Abstract: A cartridge is disclosed for holding and dispensing a plurality of paper products in a dispensing direction. The cartridge is insertable into an interior area of a container having a housing. The interior area is disposed within an interior surface defined by a plurality of exterior walls. The housing includes at least one protrusion extending into the interior of the housing proximate a dispensing throat. The cartridge comprises a cartridge body including cartridge side walls and a cartridge end wall and at least one opening defined through at least the end wall of the cartridge body so that when the cartridge is placed in the interior area of the housing the protrusion extends through at least a portion of the opening disposed in the end wall to contact the plurality of paper products to oppose movement of the paper products through the dispensing throat in the dispensing direction.

Abstract: An interfolded paper napkin dispensing system composed of: (a) an outer housing defining an interior space; (b) stacking means mounted within the outer housing for holding a stack of paper napkins within the interior space; and (c) a dispensing face defined in the outer housing proximate to an end of the stacking means. The dispensing face has a central portion projecting out from the dispenser and a dispensing throat located in the central portion. The dispensing throat is composed of a slot portion having a length sufficient to permit a paper napkin to be pulled through by a user, but a relatively narrow width that prevents more than a few napkins from being pulled through the throat at one time. The dispensing throat further includes a finger access portion to help a user grip and pull a paper napkin through the dispensing slot despite the relatively narrow width of the dispensing slot.

Abstract: A folded web product dispensing system includes an outer housing that defines an interior space. A dispensing face is defined in the outer housing proximate to an end of a stacking means. The dispensing face has a central portion and a dispensing throat located in the central portion. The stacking means are mounted within the outer housing for holding a stack of folded web product within the interior space and have a staging area proximate to the dispensing throat including at least two curved bumpers. These curved bumpers are oriented so as to be parallel to the path of travel of the folded webs as they approach the dispensing throat. A number of ribs may be defined on the bumpers for temporarily arresting movement of the folded webs as they approach the dispensing throat. The folded web product may be a stack of paper napkins.

Abstract: A dispensing system for individual folded webs having an area of non-uniform thickness across the length of the web is composed of several components. An outer housing defines an interior space in which stacking means for holding a stack of individual folded webs are mounted. A dispensing face is defined in the outer housing proximate to an end of the stacking means. The dispensing face has a central portion projecting out from the dispenser in the form of a first surface and a second surface joined at an obtuse angle and a dispensing throat located in the central portion at about the intersection of the first and second surfaces. The dispensing system also includes a stack of individual folded webs having an area of non-uniform thickness across the length of the web aligned so that an area of greatest thickness extends across the width of the dispensing throat.
