  • Patent number: 5074381
Abstract: An apparatus for removing solid particulates from oil has a housing through which the oil flows with a screen releasably secured in the housing adjacent an outlet. The screen is releasably secured by either a biasing means, such as a spring or a threaded member engageable with a threaded section on the housing. A removable cover is provided on the open top of the housing and the screen and releasable securement device therefore are removable from the housing through the open top when the cover is not in place.

  • Patent number: 4948270
Abstract: An oil flushing adapter includes a pair of conduits which are connected at the same point to a bearing support at opposite sides of a rotor, and then pushed apart by an extension device to force the lower ends of the two conduits into sealing contact with a pair of oil outlets. The conduits are then provided with flushing hoses, valves and strainers to sample oil at the bearings for cleanliness, and to shut off oil flow when the oil is sufficiently clean.

  • Patent number: 4714054
Abstract: A trough is formed above the moisture separators in a moisture separator reheater for a power plant and drain conduits are connected to the trough to direct moisture collected in the trough to the bottom of the shell where it joins other collected moisture and is drained from the lower portion of the shell via drain nozzles disposed therein preventing droplets from forming above the separator and dripping down into the flow path of motive steam, becoming reentrained, and resulting in erosion of the separators.
