  • Publication number: 20190219170
Abstract: A sealing membrane assembly including a flange having a body with a through passage. A first sealing membrane defines a first flexible panel with a first axial sealed opening extending therethrough. The first axial sealed opening extends at an acute angle. A second sealing membrane defines a second flexible panel with a second axial sealed opening extending therethrough. The second axial sealed opening extends at an obtuse angle. The first and second sealing membranes are secured relative to the flange such that the first and second axial sealed openings crisscross one another and the first and second sealing membranes seal the through passage except through the first and second sealed openings.

  • Patent number: 10329762
Abstract: A bracket for securing insulation and/or a stiffener relative to a mullion or transom having a given width. The bracket includes a pair of legs extending from a bridge to define a receiving channel having a width equal to or smaller than the given width. The bracket can be attached to the mullion with friction. At least one of the legs defines a first receiving slot configured to receive a clip leg of a respective clip configured to engage the insulation, and an optional second receiving slot configured to receive a face of the stiffener. In an alternative configuration, the bracket can be attached to a side of the mullion via an existing anchor attachment near the floor line so that the anchor attachment does not interfere with the bracket.

  • Patent number: 10236668
Abstract: An electrical box cover for an electrical outlet box includes a back and four sides extending from the back. The back and the four sides define an interior of the box cover that is large enough to cover the exterior of the electrical outlet box. The box cover is made of a soft, flexible material that can be molded to a shape of the electrical outlet box and that has certain elastomeric qualities so that the box cover can be slipped on to the electrical outlet box and installed, thereby providing additional sound and fire protection to the electrical outlet box. The cover box may also include a flange surrounding the opening in the box cover to cover any gaps around the cutout of the wall. The box cover may include one or more knock-outs that correspond to one or more knock-outs in the electrical outlet box.

  • Patent number: 9046194
Abstract: A poke-through pathway device positionable extending through an opening in building panel, such as a wall, ceiling or floor, which defines a duct through which penetrating members, such as cables or wiring may be placed to extend through a building panel wherein the pathway device provides a limited level of protection against fire, heat, smoke or sound being transmitted or traveling therethrough. The present invention provides a limited low level of fire resistance along with some resistance to the transmission of smoke, heat or sound through the duct in those applications where a fully fire-rated device is not required. The present invention includes a two-piece outer housing assembly and with a two-piece inner housing assembly that are telescopically movable with respect to one another for adjustable positioning thereof through building panels of various thicknesses. A two-piece elastomeric wedge seal is positionable on each side of the interior of the inner housing to facilitating sealing.

  • Patent number: 8397452
Abstract: A relatively inexpensive bushing easily installed extending through walls, particularly, gypsum board membrane walls for providing firestopping around a limited number of linear penetrating members such as cables or wires. This grommet construction includes first and second half sections for facilitating attachment around cables more easily. A split internal seal preferably of resilient foam material is positioned within a split mechanical shell which facilitates placing of the bushing around penetrating members prior to placement thereof through walls or after positioned thereof penetrating through a panel such as wallboard. A split mechanical shell with a two-piece foam insert retained within a bore extending therethrough can be formed as two separable half cylindrical shells. Barbs are included on the outer portion of the shell to facilitate mounting thereof. The foam firestopping seal portion can be intumescent.

  • Publication number: 20070137979
Abstract: A combplate closes the terminal ends of a continuous belt transport system having grooved carrier plates. The combplate has a plurality of protrusions and a communications board. The plurality of spaced apart projections are located along the one lateral edge with a portion thereof extending forward of the one lateral edge, shaped to align with and pass between the carrier plate grooves, and provided with a detector that senses a break in its integrity and a circuit for communicating its status externally. The communications board is in electrical contact with each of the projections for repeatedly monitoring the status of each projection to detect a break in a projection's integrity.
