    Abstract: The exhaust air from a paint-spray or lacquer spray booth is cleaned after passing through the grate bottom thereof directly to a wet electrostatic filter. The air which is sprayed with atomized water immediately before entering the wet electrostatic filter is partly recirculated after passing through the latter while the water containing the paint and lacquer particles is cleaned and recycled as well.
