  • Publication number: 20180155052
Abstract: A computerised method is provided for monitoring the status of an aircraft. The method comprises sending, from an output module of an aircraft monitoring system, a reporting more report data signal response and monitoring, at an input module of the aircraft monitoring system, for received data signal to the aircraft monitoring system. This sets a contract with the aircraft that may be used to monitor for unexpected behaviour or non-compliance with the contract terms. The method further comprises determining, at a processor of the aircraft monitoring system, if one or more alert criteria have been satisfied by the received data signal responses and generating, at an alerting module of the aircraft monitoring system, an alert based on the determination.

  • Publication number: 20170334634
Abstract: Pack (27) having a group of tobacco industry products wrapped in a laminate (2) to form a bundle (22). The pack has a base (28) containing the bundle, and a lid (30) mounted to the base for rotation between open and closed positions. The laminate has an outer layer (3) having a first cut (5) that defines an outer layer region bounded by said first cut and, an inner layer (4) having a second cut (6) that defines an inner layer region bounded by said second cut. A part of the outer layer region is attached to an inside surface of the lid such that, as the lid is rotated into its open position, the inner and outer layer regions are lifted causing the inner and outer layers to delaminate in a peripheral region (15) between the first and second cuts and an opening (19).

The wrapper (80) further comprises a tear strip (82) extending at least partially around the container and having an end tab. The wrapper is configured such that pulling the tab causes a tear to propagate through the film and the tear strip to come away from the container and the entire film to come away from the container attached to the tear strip. The tear strip (82) is defined by two reinforcing tear tapes (83a, 83b) on either side of the tear strip. Each tear tape (83a, 83b) has a respective first remote end (84a, 84b) at the tab, and the two tear tapes extend from the tab and diverge away from each other at least partially around the container such that the width of the tear strip enlarges around at least a part of the perimeter of the container.

  • Publication number: 20150021380
Abstract: A wrapper (40) comprising a film (41) having a plurality of reinforcing tear strips (42a, 42b) extending at least partially across the film Each tear strip includes a tab portion (45a, 45b). The wrapper (40) is configured such that pulling the tab of a first tear strip causes a tear to propagate through the film (41) to separate a first portion of the film attached to the first tear strip, from the remainder of the film Pulling the tab of a second tear strip causes a second tear to propagate through the film to define a second portion of the film attached to the second tear strip. The second portion of film attached to the second tear strip comprises the remainder of the film once the first portion is removed with the first tear strip.
