  • Patent number: 9715336
Abstract: Disclosed here are methods, devices, paradigms and structures for creating, displaying and facilitating the selection of art, design and décor. A digital art device (“device”) facilitates creating and displaying a digital art in accordance with the relationship to a viewer. The device can include sensors such as cameras, gyroscopes, audio processor, photometer, eye-tracking sensors, etc., to identify various types of human interaction, and the environment around the device. The device displays, adapts, or transforms the digital art according to the observed human interaction and/or surroundings of the device. Tools will allow developers to create new applications for displaying and creating digital art to be viewed on the device. Developers can access underlying décor discovery and visualization tools to process color, style and other décor-related attributes.

  • Publication number: 20170171322
Abstract: A hand-off service enables seamless sharing of session data of an online session between a server and a client with additional clients in an application, e.g., art application used for finding décor items. A user can request a server, using a first device, e.g., desktop, for access information for accessing the art application using a second device, e.g., smartphone. When the second device accesses the server using the access information, the server generates a unique storage address space that is connected to a session between the server and the first device. The user can upload a digital asset, e.g., image of a room captured using the smartphone, to the unique address and the server automatically renders the digital asset on the first device. The server can also render another digital asset, e.g., an art image, within the setting image.

  • Patent number: 9483158
Abstract: Technology is disclosed for discovering décor harmonized with a décor style (“the technology”). The décor includes décor items, e.g. artworks, paintings, pictures, artifacts, architectural pieces, arrangement of artworks, color selection, room décor, rugs, mats, furnishings, household items, fashion, clothes, jewelry, car interiors, garden arrangements etc. The technology facilitates analyzing user input to identify a décor style from a décor style dictionary, obtaining décor that harmonizes with décor style, and presenting a representation of the décor to the user. The décor style dictionary includes décor styles that are generated based on an analysis of content, including images and description of décor, from a plurality of sources. The décor styles can be based on a number of concepts, including a theme of the décor, a color/color palette, a mood of the person, a fashion era, a type of architecture, etc.

  • Publication number: 20160196600
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for generating a harmonized set of décor accessories using one or more harmony descriptors. Some systems facilitate harmonization by receiving a representation of a plurality of décor accessories that includes metadata, creating one or more harmony descriptors from the metadata, and matching two or more décor accessories using the harmony descriptors. The harmony descriptors can identify matching décor accessories based on a subset of metadata elements of the décor accessories. Two or more metadata elements can match by being similar, identical, or complementary. Some systems automatically determine whether the metadata elements of two décor accessories match, while other systems allow a curator to determine whether two décor accessories match. Various systems allow a user or curator to select a décor accessory and, upon selection, search a harmony descriptor database for a matching décor accessory.

  • Publication number: 20160171304
Abstract: The disclosure is related to a décor harmony service (DHS) that facilitates mapping of colors from a color palette to décor accessories in a setting, e.g., a room, such that the décor accessories, when arranged together, appear harmonious to a user. For example, using harmony-distribution rules, the DHS maps a set of décor accessories occupying “60%” of the area of a room to a main color of a color palette, a second set of décor accessories occupying “30%” to a feature color and a third set of décor accessories occupying “10%” to an accent color. The DHS generates a representation of the room, e.g., an image of the room, with the décor accessories having the assigned colors. The DHS facilitates a user to use the generated image for finding and purchasing décor products that match with a décor accessory in the generated image.

  • Publication number: 20150199835
Abstract: Disclosure is directed to a framework for creating a digital art. A digital art can include multiple digital assets, e.g., an image file, video file, computer generated imagery (CGI) file that can be used to generate various representations of the digital art. The digital art transforms from one representation to another in response to events, which can occur due to human interaction and/or a change in an attribute of a setting where a computing device displaying the digital art is installed. For example, a digital art depicting a bud of a flower can transform into a flower when the eyes of a viewer are focused at the bud for a specified duration. A user can define a transformation between digital assets by generating a link between two digital assets and specifying properties of the link, e.g., events upon which the transformation is to occur, transition features of the transformation.

  • Patent number: 6128351
Abstract: A communication device (60) for simultaneously transmitting independent information (82) on multiple channels comprises a modulator (66) and at least two matched filters (68-70). Each matched filter has a unique predetermined characteristic that is a time-reversed, complex conjugate of a complex waveform shape (72) produced by the modulator (66) in response to a channel encoder previously supplying known codeword vectors (75) to the modulator (66). Therefore, a composite signal envelope (82) produced for transmission by the communication device (60) of FIG. 4 has a reduced peak-to-mean envelope power ratio (PMEPR), since relatively large excursions in complex waveform shapes subsequently generated by the modulator (66) are unmatched by the unique filter characteristics while relatively small excursion are matched and therefore enhanced.

  • Patent number: 5784427
Abstract: A feedback and shift unit is arranged to reduce to a minimum the number of processing steps required in a processor, such as a DSP, to achieve a particular operating function, such as a linear feedback shift or a stepping function used by encryption algorithms. The feedback and shift unit (50) comprises a linear feedback shift register (52) for storing a value of the feedback and shift unit. A tap register (56) stores a tap position indicator indicative of tap positions for the feedback and shift unit (50). An input provides data to the feedback and shift unit. A feedback matrix, coupled to receive the data from the input, provides data bits, generated in response to the data and the tap position indicator, that are shifted into the linear feedback shift register (52) to form the value stored therein.

  • Patent number: 5781566
Abstract: A cyclic redundancy coder (10) is arranged to reduce to a minimum the number of processing steps required in a processor, such as a DSP, to achieve a cyclic redundancy coding function. The cyclic redundancy coder (10) comprises a shift register (12) having a plurality of storage elements each for storing a bit of a cyclic redundancy code word. A tap register (16) stores a tap position indicator indicative of tap positions in the cyclic redundancy code word that are subject to a logical operation. An input (18) provides input data to the cyclic redundancy coder. A logic feedback network (20-28) receives the data from the input and provides the logical operation. The logic feedback network also provides a plurality of data bits generated in response to the input data and each bit contained in each storage element identified by the tap position indicator. The cyclic redundancy code word is produced by applying at least one of the plurality of data bits to one storage element that is adjacent a tap position.
