  • Publication number: 20130297647
Abstract: The subject technology provides configurations for providing aggregated analytics tracking data associated with a dynamically generated session in response to a query for analytics tracking data. A query for analytics tracking data associated with a period of time is received in which the analytics tracking data includes data for tracking activity associated with a web site or application. The subject technology determines analytics tracking data for aggregating according to the period of time in order to associate the aggregated analytics tracking data with a dynamically generated session. The aggregated analytics tracking data associated with the dynamically generated session is then provided in response to the query.

  • Publication number: 20130297778
Abstract: The subject technology provides a session associated with web site or application traffic data. An analytics tracking data communication is received. The subject technology determines analytics tracking data from the received analytics tracking data communication in which the analytics tracking data includes data for tracking an activity associated with a web site or application and includes visitor information. A new session associated with the analytics tracking data is created if it is determined that the activity is associated with an initial visit of a unique visitor corresponding to the visitor information. The subject technology determines campaign information for populating the new session associated with the analytics tracking data. The analytics tracking data including the determined campaign information is then stored.

  • Patent number: 7978136
Abstract: A method of associating a universal time with time of arrival information of an identified component of a signal at a terminal of a radio positioning system is disclosed. In the method a marker signal with an associated universal time tag is obtained from a timing device (or the marker signal is obtained from an independent oscillator and a universal time tag assigned to the marker signal), and the time or phase relationship between the marker signal (or between the time of arrival information of said identified component respectively) and the oscillator is measured. The time of arrival information of said identified component relative to the oscillator is determined and the universal time corresponding to the time of arrival information of said identified component is calculated from said universal time tag and said measured time or phase relationship, before the calculated universal time is associated with said time of arrival information.

  • Patent number: 7652622
Abstract: The invention provides a method of combining satellite positioning system signals and position information derived from such signals in a mobile terminal, when these are available at a first location, with cellular communication signals and a method, system and apparatus for determining the approximate position information for the said mobile terminal when SPS signals are not available at a second location. The approximate position is determined in the mobile terminal only using a position difference vector derived from the cellular communication signals using time offsets in a method based on the observed time difference of arrival. The computations of cellular position and position difference information are made within the network infrastructure. The invention provides for the security of the user as only position difference information is communicated over the air interface, or transmission time offset measurements which require non-transmitted information to determine a solution.

  • Patent number: 7593736
Abstract: The invention relates to a determining the position of a mobile receiver 4 in a digital telephone network positioning system. A first receiver 3 is at a known location and others are mobile. The method involves transmitting signals from a plurality of sources 1, the transmission signals having a format at least a portion of which has predetermined values or a portion of which is repeated. The time offset of the transmission signals received at each receiver 4,5 from a transmission source 1 relative to a reference clock of each receiver is determined by generating a reference signal locked to the reference clock. The reference signal has a similar format to the transmission signals and includes a portion identical to the predetermined values or repeated portion of the received signal and compares the received transmission signal and the reference signal.

  • Patent number: 7552104
Abstract: The invention provides a decision support method for two or more pre-defined criteria and two or more profiles. Each criterion comprises two or more pre-defined and ordinally ranked categories. Each profile comprises a set of two or more of the criteria. Each criterion in the set is associated with one of the categories for that criterion. The method performs a comparative assessment of profiles involving an ordinal pairwise ranking of profile pairs. The method further comprises solving a system of equalities/inequalities that represents the ordinal pairwise rankings of profile pairs to obtain a point value for each category on each criterion and/or a ranking of all possible profiles and/or a ranking of a subset of all possible profiles. The invention also provides a related system and computer program.

  • Patent number: 7517137
Abstract: An improved system and method for stirring suspended solids in a liquid media to enhance sample growth and improve sample detection results. The system and method employs a sample vessel holder which adapted to receive at least one sample vessel which contains the solids and liquid media and a stirrer, such as a ferrous metal filled stirrer, and maintain the sample vessel in a position such that the longitudinal axis of the sample vessel extends at an angle substantially less than 90 degrees with respect to the horizontal, such as within the range of about 15 degrees to about 25 degrees with respect to the horizontal. The system and method further employs a magnet driver, adapted to move a magnet, such as a rare earth magnet, proximate to an outer surface of the sample vessel to permit the magnet to impose a magnetic influence on the stirrer to move the stirrer in the sample vessel.

  • Patent number: 7359719
Abstract: The invention described relates to a radio positioning system primarily for a mobile telephone network, in which a list of offsets in time, phase, frequency, or derivatives thereof, or their equivalents expressed as offsets in distance or derivatives thereof, of a plurality of transmission source signals, received at a given location, relative to a common reference are generated. Data is acquired from one or more receivers, the positions of which may be known or determined. Such data are offsets in time, phase, frequency, or derivatives thereof, respectively of signals received from the transmission sources relative to a reference source in each receiver or to each other. The acquired data is combined for calculating the list of offsets relative to the common reference.
