  • Patent number: 11942069
Abstract: A method of automated feedforward filter design comprising designing a feedforward filter for a system implementing active noise cancelling is described. The method includes designing the feedforward filter by determining a filter transfer function of the feedforward filter. The filter transfer function is determined using a least square method. The method also includes determining the filter transfer function by defining a target transfer function of the feedforward filter and applying the least square method using the target transfer function to determine a filter expression for the filter transfer function. The least square method is a weighted least square method.

  • Publication number: 20240070780
Abstract: A computing device facilitates selection of (i) a data-object currency for a data object of a construction project and (ii) an exchange rate for converting between the data-object currency and a project currency. Based on project-level currency settings and permissions information, currency options from which a given user is permitted to select a data-object currency for the data object are identified and presented for selection. After selection of the data-object currency, based on the permissions information and information about the data object, exchange rate options from which the given user is permitted to select an exchange rate for converting between the data-object currency and the project currency are identified and presented for selection. After selection of the exchange rate, cost values for line items of the data object are converted from the data-object currency to the project currency using the exchange rate and dynamically updated based on cost value modifications.

  • Patent number: 11798079
Abstract: An example computing system is configured to (i) receive, via a client station, a user request to create a financial data object for a given construction project; (ii) cause the client station to present, via a graphical user interface (GUI), a set of one or more currency options for the financial data object; (iii) receive an indication that a first currency has been selected for the financial data object; (iv) based at least on a user permission level, determine a set of one or more exchange rate options for converting from the first currency to a second currency; (v) cause the client station to present the determined set of one or more exchange rate options; and (vi) create the financial data object, wherein the created financial data object includes data indicating (1) the first currency and (2) a given one of the set of one or more exchange rate options.

  • Patent number: 8798904
Abstract: A device for determining the position of a road roller relative to a road finisher has a transceiver on the road roller for transmitting transmit signals and for receiving receive signals from at least two reference points on the road finisher spaced apart from each other. An evaluation unit determines the position of the road roller relative to the road finisher from the run time between transmitting the transmit signals and receiving the receive signals from the reference points.

  • Publication number: 20070237580
Abstract: A municipal casting frame is provided with cast nut retainers that allow the frame to be used with or without a bolt-down cover. The frame defines one or more bolt holes of sufficient dimension to allow free passage of the cover bolts. The undersurface of the frame defines a cast nut retainer adapted to securely receive a nut. In one embodiment, the nut retainer includes protrusions that permit the nut to be snap-fitted into the nut retainer. In another embodiment, the nut retainer is configured to frictionally receive the nut in a wedging interaction. The present invention also provides a method for manufacturing a frame with integral cast nut retainers. The method generally includes the steps of (a) providing a core corresponding in shape to the bolt hole and the cast nut retainer, the cast nut retainer being configured to receive and retain a nut, (b) casting a frame in a mold about the core, (c) removing the cast frame from the mold and (d) removing the core from the cast frame.

  • Patent number: 4726682
Abstract: The invention relates to a depth measuring apparatus for a dredger, comprising an inclination sensor mounted on the dredger arm, a receiver for receiving a radiation establishing a reference level, and an evaluation circuit connected to the receiver and to the inclination sensor. In a known measuring apparatus of this type, the receiver merely serves for calibrating a pressure sensor operative to indicate the position of the dredger arm relative to the body of the dredger. According to the invention, for improving the measuring accuracy the receiver is itself operable to determine the position of the radiation determining the reference level relative to the receiver, the thus obtained information being employed together with the inclination signal for determining the operating depth of the dredger scoop.
