  • Patent number: 11995625
Abstract: A system is disclosed for a digital rights management system which enforces license rights by establishing an account domain of registered consumer devices which may each receive a decryption key to be used to decode digital content bought by any of the devices within the account domain. Such system further enables the decentralization of content sharing by establishing a network of trusted intermediate devices to manage licenses on end devices for a central rights provider.

  • Patent number: 8225354
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed herein for merging EPG data associated with a variety of program sources. In one aspect, EPG data is accessed for different program sources and rules are selected that define how entries in the EPG data are to be merged. The rules may be selected based on whether the EPG data was collected in-band or out-of-band. In addition, the merging rules can be dependent on the program source, which allows the flexibility of applying different rules to different program sources. The EPG data from the different program sources is merged into a single EPG based on the selected rules.

  • Patent number: 6983662
Abstract: A system of measuring the flow of a human or animal bodily action or fluid along or through a bodily flow conduit using two or more sensor means located on the body and along or around the path of the conduit is described. Bodily fluids whose flow is measurable by the present invention include blood, semen and urine. The present invention is a non-invasive way of measuring the flow of a bodily action or fluid along or through a conduit, such as pulse wave velocity. Pulse wave velocity in the brachial artery can provide an indication of vessel wall quality or stiffness, which in turn, can be used to indicate how an individual's vascular system is ageing. Disorders such as stenosis and complete occlusion can be diagnosed by accurate measurement of pulse wave velocity.

  • Publication number: 20050160948
Abstract: Applicant's invention defines a ventilated dissection table having an air chamber atop a pedestal. Said air chamber comprises a support structure for a removable stainless steel work surface positioned at an optimal distance below an air inlet, said air inlet having a negative pressure created by a blower attached to an exhaust duct which draws undesirable noxious fumes from said air inlet through said chamber past a screen into a plenum and out the exhaust. The positioning of said work surface to air inlet provides improved capture performance. Primary and secondary drains are provided for the removal of fluids generated by the dissection process, as well as the facilitation of basic cleaning. The table is made of stainless steel to aid cleaning and is sized for ease of transfer and mobility via size and weight.

  • Publication number: 20030028628
Abstract: A method and apparatus for storing, retrieving, and managing registry settings for a computer system having handheld platform operating software is describe. A storage device and/or a network connection to another storage device or computer system are used to “mirror” the applicable parts of the registry to the storage device or network computer system in order that the computer system-specific configuration settings can be retrieved each time the computer system is booted.
