    Abstract: An assembly for vacuum bag molding includes a mold for receiving a workpiece. An edge breather comprising a plurality of braided polymer threads is disposed about a periphery of the workpiece. A vacuum bag film is disposed over the workpiece and the edge breather. A seal seals the vacuum bag film to the mold and a passageway in fluidic communication with the edge breather.
