  • Patent number: 4442987
Abstract: A guiding system of the movable fairing of a turbojet engine thrust reverser system comprising two guide pieces mounted on an upper frame fixed to a mast and pieces to be guided attached to the movable fairing. The guide pieces are provided with a groove of a circular cross section and the piece to be guided is a cylindrical body having, on a generatrix and in a radial plane, a flange, the end of which has means to fasten it to a fitting on the movable fairing.

  • Patent number: 4412774
Abstract: A dolly for use in the installation of a jet engine in an aircraft compartment. The dolly has longitudinal guide rails placed in the compartment and a device including two lateral guide rails and a lower, median guide rail; a foldable and removable front cradle carrying two runners and capable of being attached to the front of the engine, the runners cooperating with the lateral guide rails; a rear cradle that is removable and equipped with a runner cooperating with the lower median guide rail; a frame to which the lateral guide rails are adjustably attached; means for the vertical displacement and the longitudinal displacement of the frame.

  • Patent number: 4346861
Abstract: The apparatus for suspending a jet engine is composed of three assemblies: an assembly 1 of parts placed permanently on the engine, an assembly 3 of parts placed permanently on the cell, and a liaison assembly 5 for connection of the preceding parts. Assembly 3 placed on the cell is disposed at the bottom of a recess and the parts forming the liaison assembly are put into place across the recess and the assembly on the cell using tooling consisting of a guide tube and two spanners, the ends of which cooperate with the ends of the pieces of the liaison assembly. The invention also concerns a process and tooling for using the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4250743
Abstract: A support device for pressure measuring instruments in the air intake of a urbojet having support arms disposed in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the air intake, being secured at one end to the turbojet housing and joined in pairs at their other ends by a fusiform body and converging in such pairs upon a radius. The inner joined end of one arm of each pair constitutes a fork, while the inner end of the other arm of each pair constitutes a fork, and the stud and fork form a bore in which is received a threaded interlocking component formed as a fusiform part at its two extremities outside the fork and stud.

  • Patent number: 4174609
Abstract: One component, such as a rear cowling of a turbojet engine nacelle, is held o another component, such as a flange of the engine housing, by a plurality of lockbolts. The lockbolts are synchronously controlled to effect attachment or detachment of the cowling or other component. Each lockbolt includes a strap which may be fixed with respect to the stationary component such as the flange. Each lockbolt also includes a tie bar having a hook at one end for cooperation with the associated strap and a pivot shaft at the other end. The pivot shaft rides in a slide track which may be disposed in a second support attached to the removable component. There is a moving part which may be carried by the second, stationary support, the moving part including a cam which cooperates with the pivot shaft of the tie bar to impart translational movement to the tie bar. The cam has a dwell portion which enables the moving part to move beyond the position at which the hook of the tie bar is fully withdrawn.
