Publication number: 20240067417Abstract: A drinking vessel including a beverage container defining a drinking opening therethrough and a closure attachable to the beverage container to close the drinking opening. A first set of magnet units is coupled to the beverage container, and a second set of magnet units is coupled to the closure. When the closure is in a closed position, magnetic attraction between at least one magnet unit of the first set of magnet units and at least one magnet unit of the second set of magnet units holds the closure in place relative to the beverage container, thereby closing the drinking opening. When the closure is rotated away from the closed position, magnetic repulsion between at least one magnet unit of the first set of magnet units and at least one magnet unit of the second set of magnet units pushes the closure away from the beverage container.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: David O. MEYERS, John R. OMDAHL II, Paul James FAERBER

Patent number: 11891220Abstract: A container lid including a container top and a closure coupled to the container top. The container top defines a lid opening. The closure is rotatable about a closure rotation axis between a closed position in which the lid opening is closed and an open position in which the lid opening is open. The closure has a proximal end positioned at the closure rotation axis and a distal end positioned away from the axis. A push button is movably coupled to the closure and is movable between first and second push button positions. In the first push button position, the closure is retained in the closed position. In the second push button position, the closure is not retained in the closed position. The push button is positioned at the proximal end of the closure. The push button is rotatable about the closure rotation axis.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2022Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: Runway Blue, LLCInventors: David O. Meyers, Jim Allen Colby, Paul James Faerber

Publication number: 20220087454Abstract: A lid for a drinking vessel including a lid base, a movable arm, and an actuator. The base defines a drinking opening. The arm is coupled to the base and located in an interior of the base. The actuator is accessible from an exterior of the base. A first and second magnet unit are coupled to one of the arm or actuator. A third magnet unit is coupled to the other of the arm or actuator. The arm is movable between a sealed position, in which the drinking opening is sealed, and an open position, in which the drinking opening is not sealed. The actuator is movable between a first and second position. A magnetic force maintains the arm in the open position while the actuator is in the second position, and a magnetic force maintains the arm in the sealed position while the actuator is in the first position.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 20, 2021Publication date: March 24, 2022Inventors: David O. Meyers, John R. Omdahl, II, Paul James Faerber

Patent number: 11136170Abstract: A container lid includes a container top, a lid opening, a closure, a push button, and a lock. The container top may be sized and configured to be attached to a container body. The lid opening may be formed in the container top. The closure may be movably coupled to the container top and may be movable between first and second positions in which the lid opening is, respectively, covered or uncovered. The push button may be configured to selectively retain the closure in the first position, and may be movable between latched and unlatched positions. The lock may be movable between locked and unlocked positions and in the locked position may be configured to inhibit movement of the push button from the latched to the unlatched position.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2019Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: Runway Blue, LLCInventors: Paul James Faerber, Jim Allen Colby, John R. Patent number: 6836676Abstract: This invention includes a speakerphone accessory suitable for connection to either a battery charger having a phone in its pocket or to a cellular telephone. The speakerphone module includes a hemispherical upper housing. The upper housing includes a circular dimple aperture and a wave directing cap. The hemispherical shape, aperture and cap all contribute to directing acoustic waved generated by a speaker disposed within the housing radially from the module in all directions. One embodiment of the module includes a second terminal for passing data and power through the module, allowing the module to be coupled serially between devices. The module also includes a bottom housing having a generally hemispherical shape. The bottom housing provides stability to the connection between the module and a peripheral device in that it reduces the mechanical advantage given to forces incident upon the upper housing acting upon the main terminal.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2001Date of Patent: December 28, 2004Assignee: Motorola, Inc.Inventors: Grant Harries Lloyd, Charles S. Baxter, Paul James Faerber, David Townsend

Publication number: 20030233736Abstract: This invention includes a clip holder for use with a portable electronic device. The clip holder employs a flexible cable as a retention device. The flexible cable passes through an aperture 210 formed by a central member and a support member, thereby forming two closed loops. The size of each loop may be adjusted. In its smallest configuration, the clip holder is suitable for attachment to a button on a garment. In an alternate configuration, a loop may be folded over itself and attached to a hook member through a second loop, thereby forming a secure, closed loop around any solid object, including belts, purse straps, bicycle parts, lanyards and backpacks. The clip holder includes a latching assembly for coupling to the appropriate portable electronic device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2002Publication date: December 25, 2003Inventors: Paul James Faerber, Ryan P. Rye

Patent number: 6392382Abstract: This invention includes a compliant removable battery support for configuring a pocket to accommodate devices of varying size. In one preferred embodiment, a charger is provided having a pocket capable of receiving an electronic apparatus, like a cellular phone for instance. The electronic apparatus is capable of having different sized batteries attached. The pocket size is adjusted by inserting the compliant removable battery support into a guide slot that corresponds to the desired battery size. In a preferred embodiment, the compliant removable battery support has a compliant member that comprises a four bar compliance mechanism. The four bar compliant mechanism provides more robust coupling between the compliant removable battery support and the charger in that the deflection stress is distributed across the compliant mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2001Date of Patent: May 21, 2002Assignee: Motorola, Inc.Inventors: Paul James Faerber, Grant H.
