Abstract: An integrated circuit includes transistor. That transistor is manufactured using a process including the following steps: forming a first gate region; depositing dielectric layers accumulating on sides of the first gate region to form regions of spacers having a width; etching to remove a part of the deposited dielectric layers accumulated on the sides of the first gate region to reduce the width of the regions of spacers; performing a first implantation of dopants aligned on the regions of spacers to form first lightly doped conduction regions of the transistor; and performing a second implanting of dopants to form first more strongly doped conduction regions of the transistor.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are novel pesticide compounds and compositions. In particular, pesticide compositions comprising one or more pesticide volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are disclosed, wherein the pesticide is for Drosophila spp. and the one or more pesticide VOCs have the molecular formula CaHbOc wherein: a is between 4 and 13; b is 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 or 24; c is 1 or 2. The VOCs are linear, branched or cyclic alkanes or alkenes, and comprise a single ketone, aldehyde, alcohol or ester functionality, and wherein any cyclic alkane or alkene is selected from the group consisting of cyclohexane, cyclopentane, cyclopentene and cyclopentadiene. Also disclosed are Drosophila spp. pesticide compositions comprising one or more pesticide VOCs with the molecular formula of (formula I) wherein R1 is OH or absent, and R2 is an aldehyde functional group or a linear or branched alkane or alkene with 1 to 5 carbons and a single ester functional group.

Abstract: A braze bonded nail head includes a nail head lead having a first end with first and second sides and a braze alloy preform coupled to the first side of the first end of the nail head lead The braze bonded nail head further includes a weld joint centrally located on the braze alloy preform and extending through the braze alloy preform to the first end of the nail head lead. The weld joint is formed through micro-tig-welding, in alternative embodiments of the invention, one of the nail head lead and the braze alloy preform may include at least one protrusion extending therefrom, while the other of the nail head lead and the braze alloy preforms may include at least one interfit element configured to interfit with the at least one protrusion.

The printing system has a first mode of operation in which a first plurality of the group of marking modules is operatively linked to the control system and a second mode of operation in which a second plurality of the marking modules is operatively linked to the control system, the second plurality of marking modules including the at least one custom marking module.

Abstract: A printing system includes a plurality of marking engines for applying images to print media. An output destination is configured for receiving imaged print media from the plurality of marking engines. A print media transport system conveys print media between the marking engines and the output destination. A control system determines whether the marking engines are printing images of consistent or acceptable gloss and, where the marking engines are determined not to be consistent or providing acceptable gloss, adjusts at least one of the plurality of marking engines to reduce a variation in gloss between images applied by the marking engines.

Abstract: An improved development system for an electrophotographic system comprises a reload defect detector for generating a signal corresponding to a potential for reload defect detected in an image to be developed by an electrophotographic system; and a magnetic roll speed selector for selecting a rotational speed for a magnetic roll in a development system of the electrophotographic system, the selected rotational speed corresponding to the generated reload defect potential signal. The speed of the magnetic roll is selected to be a lower speed in response to the potential for reload defect being relatively low. The slower rotation of the magnetic roll prolongs the life of the developer and extends the operational life of the development system before corrective action is needed.

Abstract: Electrical connector or electrical switching element including a metallic core and a galvanically deposited metal containing coating layer is presented. The metal containing coating layer is deposited by electrolytic composite plating and the coating layer includes a metal matrix and distributed therein particles selected from the group of particles having electrically conductive properties, particles having lubricating properties, particles having wear resistance properties and particles having properties of increasing the temperature durability or combinations of particles from those groups. The electrical connector or electrical switching element has been made from a continuously coated metal strip comprising a metallic core and a galvanically deposited metal containing coating layer. A continuously coated metal strip for manufacturing such electrical connectors is also presented.

Abstract: A black toner of toner particles including at least one binder, at least one black colorant, and a package of external additives is described, wherein the at least one binder includes a styrene acrylate binder and wherein the external additives include each of a first silica having an average particle size of from about 35 to about 45 nm, a second silica having an average particle size of from about 135 to about 160 nm, and a titania having an average particle size of from about 35 to about 45 nm. Also described is a developer that includes the black toner and carrier particles comprising a core of ferrite coated with a coating comprising a polymethyl methacrylate polymer and fluoro-copolymer, carbon black and melamine beads. The black toner and developer are preferably used in a semiconductive magnetic brush development system.

Abstract: A toner composition includes toner particles having at least one spacer of substantially monodisperse latex particles that are dried and attached to the toner particles, in which the attached latex particles have an average particle size of from about 60 nm to about 500 nm. The presence of the spacer enables improved toner transfer efficiency maintainability while maintaining excellent tribo level, tribo stability with aging, charge through performance and cohesion behavior with aging.
