Abstract: A seat for receipt of a child capable of providing exercise and entertainment comprising a seat having a rigid upper support and a lower support therebeneath and a circular bearing surface therebetween, the lower support having leg openings for passage of the legs of a child supported therein. An upper supporting tray has a radially interior opening in a circular configuration for receiving and supporting the seat, the upper supporting tray having a radially exterior periphery with projections extending downwardly therefrom. A bowl-shaped base, preferably with radial ribs, is provided, the upper periphery of the base having spaced upstanding towers with openings depending from the upper ends thereof. Upstanding posts are also provided, each post having a lower end received within the upper end of a tower, each post having an upper end with a recess for receiving a downwardly depending projection.

Abstract: An improved baby bungee jumper is characterized by the use of bungee cords to elastically suspend an infant seat above a base resting on a floor and by an adjustment mechanism for vertically adjusting the seat relative to the floor to accommodate infants of different size. The base includes a plurality of vertically extending legs and the bungee cords are connected between the seat and the upper ends of the legs. The adjustment mechanism is provided on the legs where the bungee cords are connected.

Abstract: A toddler carrier comprising a shell having a seat, back and sides, and a separate base. A rigid link pivotally attaches the lower rear of the shell to one end of the base. An axle connects the lower front of the shell to the other end of the base. The sides of the shell include slots which accept the axle. A spring-biased release handle is located beneath the front of the seat with integral release arms angularly located beneath the seat. The release arms are pivotally connected to the shell at their distal ends and have a plurality of notches which selectively mate with the axle. Any notch may be selected by depressing the release handle and pivoting the shell with a subsequent release of the handle.

Abstract: An adjustable high chair for use by a child comprising a base having a horizontal portion with a center of gravity and positionable on a floor with a chair adapted to receive a child thereon, the chair having a seat portion, a back portion, and portions coupled with respect thereto, the am portions each having an upper support surface for receipt of a tray, height adjustment mechanisms operatively coupling the base and the chair and a tray adjustably secured with respect to the arms of the chair.

Abstract: A child's car seat having a recessed area in the back through which the vehicle seat belt passes. Apertures in the left and right sides of the recessed area allow the vehicle seat belt to be threaded through one opening, across the recessed area, and through the other opening. The recess is partially covered with a molded panel leaving a restricted opening at the bottom of the recessed belt path with the opening sufficient to allow the vehicle seat belt to be threaded from the front of the seat. The padding covering the seat has a slit adjacent the restricted opening.

Abstract: A cup holder is provided to attach to a piece of furniture. The cup holder includes a base formed to include spaced-apart side-by-side cup receiving receptacles, a mounting fixture apended to the base, and spaced-apart furniture engaging clamps apended to the mounting fixture. The mounting fixture includes a V-shaped channel formed by a V-shaped side wall and a V-shaped flange which allows the cup holder to engage two sides of the piece of furniture (e.g., the corner of a table).

Abstract: A doorway exerciser comprising a scissor-type spring-biased clamp having opposed arms for securing the exerciser above the upper doorframe and a strap adjustable in length removably secured to the clamp and extending downwardly. The strap passes downwardly into a tube having a compression spring therein, through a slotted plate at the bottom of the spring, and returns upwardly and is secured to itself. The tube is preferably of plastic and has three equally spaced ears extending therefrom witch two parallel slots in each ear. A separate strap for each ear passes upwardly through a first slot and downwardly through the other slot in each of the ears. One end of the strap is configured so as to prevent movement through the first slot. The other end of the strap is secured to an infant seat.

Abstract: A movable utility cart includes a frame and a tray assembly appended to the frame. A latch assembly is provided to move between an engaged position coupling the tray assembly to the frame and a disengaged position uncoupling the tray assembly from the frame.

Abstract: A car seat positionable on the seat of an automobile and retainable in place by an automobile seat belt, the car seat having associated straps for securing the child in place on the car seat and a shield pivotable between a raised position for allowing the entrance or exit of a child from the seat and a lowered position for securing the child in place, the improvement comprising, the shield formed of parallel side arms and a cross bar coupling the outboard ends thereof and with inboard ends having pivot points about an axis of rotation for the shield, the cross bar movable with respect to the pivot point with means to vary the position of the cross bar with respect to the child being supported in the car seat and parallel spring means to retain the cross bar in a preselected position with respect to the child.
