  • Patent number: 11435481
Abstract: A device for determining position information includes a detector that is configured to detect a position of the device and a processor that is configured to determine the position information based on a primary position indication from the detector and a secondary position indication from a second detector that is distinct from the detector. The processor determines the position information by aligning the primary position indication with the secondary position indication based on identifying a pattern of the primary position indication that corresponds with a pattern of the secondary position indication.

  • Publication number: 20220113740
Abstract: A system for determining vehicle location information includes a receiver supported on a first vehicle for receiving a communication from a second vehicle and a signal from each of a plurality of satellites. A detector is configured to detect a positional relationship between the first vehicle and the second vehicle. A processor is configured to determine a location of the first vehicle from received satellite signals, a location of the second vehicle based on the communication received from the second vehicle, a corrected location of the first vehicle based on the location of the second vehicle and the positional relationship between the vehicles, and a corrective mapping of a plurality of sections of a field of view of the receiver. Each section has ad correction factor for correcting a subsequently determined location of the first vehicle based on satellite signals received from satellites appearing in the respective sections.

  • Patent number: 10348084
Abstract: An input N-plexer filter stage is susceptible to receive surge energy via an input conductor, when the surge energy occurs. A high-pass filter included in a diplexer filter stage applies a radio frequency (RF) signal in a signal path between the input N-plexer filter stage and an output of a Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) transmitter stage. A low-pass filter included in the diplexer filter stage couples a surge suppressing threshold device to the signal path to dissipate the surge energy in the surge suppressing threshold device, when the surge energy occurs. The low-pass filter has a cut-off frequency that is lower than a normal operation frequency range of the RF signal. The low-pass filter isolates the surge suppressing threshold device from the signal path in normal operation frequency range of the RF signal, when no surge energy is applied.

  • Publication number: 20100242078
Abstract: An Advanced Television Systems Committee Digital Television (ATSC DTV) transmitter transmits a digital multiplex that includes a legacy DTV channel and a mobile DTV channel. The mobile DTV channel is conveyed in mobile packets that comprise mobile data and additional mobile training information. A mobile packet comprises 207 bytes wherein 2 bytes are header information, 20 bytes are Reed-Solomon (RS) parity information and 185 bytes convey mobile data and mobile training information. The mobile training information is inserted into mobile packets such that the additional training information appears in contiguous positions after convolutional interleaving.

  • Publication number: 20100138877
Abstract: An ATSC DTV mobile transmitter synchronizes their transmission with other associated stations. An ATSC DTV mobile receiver checks if it is in an area of poor reception and, if so, checks an associated station list for determining if the same programming can be received from an associated station.

  • Publication number: 20100118206
Abstract: A signal comprises a sequence of fields, each field having a synchronization portion and a data portion, a transmitter inserts a pseudonoise (PN) sequence into the synchronization portion of a field for use in identifying a presence of mobile data in the data portion of that field; and transmits the signal. In complementary fashion, a receiver receives the signal and upon detecting the PN sequence in the synchronization portion of the received signal determines whether or not mobile data is in the data portion of that field of the received signal.

  • Publication number: 20080030623
Abstract: A method and apparatus for improving the reception of digitally modulated signals. A main signal and a supplemental signal are provided in the transmitter. The main signal contains both high priority and low priority data and the supplemental signal contains high priority data. The supplemental signal is advanced in time with respect to the main signal. The main and supplemental signals are sent from the transmitter to the receiver modulated on a signal. At the receiver, the supplemental signal is stored in a buffer. If the main signal is undesirably changed during transmission, corresponding portions of the high priority data of the supplement signal are substituted for the undesired portions of the main signal.

  • Publication number: 20050024543
Abstract: A method and apparatus for improving the reception of digitally modulated signals. A main signal and a supplemental signal are provided in the transmitter. The signals may be substantially identical except that the supplemental signal is advanced in time with respect to the main signal. The main and supplemental signals are sent from the transmitter to the receiver modulated on a signal. At the receiver, the supplemental signal is stored in a buffer. If the main signal is undesirably changed during transmission, corresponding portions of the supplement signal are substituted for the undesired portions of the main signal.

  • Patent number: 5446450
Abstract: A tower light controller comprises logic circuitry that easily connects with equipment used in the production of semiconductor wafers. The tower light controller uses the existing signals in the production equipment, namely a process signal, an alarm signal, left and right cassette present signals, and left and right atmosphere signals, to appropriately drive a light tower comprised of a yellow lamp, a red lamp, and a green lamp. The logic circuitry turns on the green lamp when a product is being run. A yellow lamp is continuously driven when the equipment has wafers that are ready to be unloaded and the yellow lamp is flashed when the equipment is ready to be loaded with wafers. The red lamp is flashed during alarm conditions and is driven continuously when the equipment is placed in a repair or in a preventative maintenance mode. The logic circuitry also comprises an oscillator formed by a series connection of three inverters.
