  • Publication number: 20240123735
Abstract: Reprocessing of a replaceable supply component may include receiving from an encoding device and using an interface communicatively coupled to the encoding device, a request blob to reprocess a replaceable supply component. The method may include in response to cryptographically verifying the request blob, extracting from the request blob, a supply identifier and raw supply data. The method further includes using the supply identifier and raw supply data, generating a reprocess structure to append or amend original manufacturing data for the replaceable supply component, and providing a response blob to the encoding device, to designate the replaceable supply component as a reprocessed supply component.

  • Publication number: 20240119465
Abstract: A device receives information regarding whether a cover of an authentication indicia of a consumable has been subject to tampering. In response to the information indicating that the cover of the authentication indicia has not been subject to tampering, the device obtains an image of the authentication indicia after the cover has been removed from the authentication indicia. The device performs an authentication process to authenticate the consumable based on the authentication indicia.

  • Publication number: 20240094670
Abstract: A print material refill container includes a housing and a chamber, within the housing, to contain a print material. The print material refill container includes a physical indicator subject to modification based on an engagement of the physical indicator with an engagement member of a printing device when the print material refill container engages the printing device to deliver the print material to a reservoir of the printing device. The physical indicator indicates an unused condition of the print material refill container when the physical indicator has a first state prior to the modification, and the physical indicator indicates a used condition of the print material refill container when the physical indicator has a second state subsequent to the modification.

  • Publication number: 20240056312
Abstract: Example implementations provide a computer program product for authenticating a number of grouped product-packaging pairs, in which each product-packaging pair comprises a respective message, associated with a respective product, and a respective signature associated with the message; the computer program product comprising machine executable instructions arranged, when processed, to: read the product messages and the signatures from the grouped product-packaging pairs; determine and store bilinear computation results associated with each of the messages, and each of the signatures; and determine, from the stored bilinear computation results, whether or processed not at least one product-packaging pair of the number of grouped product-packaging pairs is authentic.

  • Patent number: 11754960
Abstract: Parameters particular to the consumable item and that affect calculation of an estimated remaining life of the consumable item when used in the printing device for printing are received. A payload is constructed based on the parameters. The printing device is to use the parameters when calculating the estimated remaining life of the consumable item during usage of the consumable item for printing.

  • Publication number: 20230245212
Abstract: That a remaining life of a consumable item has reached a threshold at which piggyback fulfillment of a replacement consumable item is expected to result in arrival before expected continued usage of the consumable item within a printing device results in exhaustion of the remaining life is identified. In response to identifying that the remaining life has reached the threshold, the piggyback fulfillment of the replacement consumable item as part of an order for a user of the printing device using an alternative provider is initiated, rather than default fulfillment of the replacement consumable item using a primary provider being initiated.

  • Patent number: 11593044
Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which is stored instructions that when executed by the processor, cause the processor to determine that data stored in a memory device of a printer cartridge installed in a printing device is to be updated. The printing device may be in remote communication with the apparatus via a network connection. The instructions may also cause the processor to identify update data that is to be used to update the data stored in the memory device. The instructions may further cause the processor to communicate, via the network connection with the printing device, the identified update data to the printing device. The printing device may update the data stored in the memory device of the printer cartridge with the update data.

  • Patent number: 11567706
Abstract: A server device receives a request over a network for settings for a printing device having an identifier. The server device determines whether the settings for the printing device were previously received from the printing device and responsively saved by the server device, based on the identifier of the printing device. In response to determining that the settings for the printing device were previously received from the printing device and responsively saved by the server device, the server device transmits the settings over the network to reconfigure the printing device according to the settings.
