  • Publication number: 20110171924
Abstract: A UE including one or more processors configured to cause the UE to reselect to a macro cell responsive to the UE placing an emergency call when the UE is in a femtocell, or when the UE is camped on a femtocell.

  • Publication number: 20110124294
Abstract: A user equipment implements a method of processing indication messages, such as SCRI (signalling connection release indication) messages. The use equipment (UE) maintains a count of how many indication messages with a cause set have been sent by the UE while in at least one radio resource control (RRC) state. In some cases, the count is reset responsive to transmitting signalling by the UE on radio bearer 3 or upward. In some cases, the count is reset responsive to entering RRC connected mode.

  • Publication number: 20110122818
Abstract: A user equipment implements a method of processing indication messages, such as SCRI (signalling connection release indication) messages. The user equipment (UE) maintains a count of how many indication messages with a cause set have been sent by the UE while in at least one radio resource control (RRC) state. Various conditions are provided for resetting the count. These include receiving packet switched (PS) data by the UE and transmitting packet switched (PS) data.

  • Patent number: 7720788
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for initiating a Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) push session to push information from a push proxy gateway to a mobile station in a wireless communication network are provided. In one embodiment, the method comprises transmitting an initiation request to the mobile station using a connection-oriented signalling channel, the mobile station establishing a push session in response to the initiation request. Preferably, the connection-oriented signalling channel transmits the initiation request without using a store-and-forward mechanism. In one embodiment, the connection-oriented signalling channel comprises an Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) channel. The initiation request may conform to a WAP protocol for Service Initiation Requests (SIRs) or a USSD protocol for Unstructured Supplementary Service Requests (USSRs).
