Patent number: 12001524Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide application management capabilities to enterprises. A computing device of a user, associated with the enterprise, receives an enrollment token signed with a certificate. The enrollment token includes an enterprise identifier associated with the enterprise. The computing device receives a package containing one or more applications. The package also includes an enterprise identifier. Installation and execution of one or more applications from the received package is accepted or rejected based on a comparison of the enterprise identifier from the enrollment token with the enterprise identifier from the received package or application. A web service provides validation services by monitoring the installation and execution of applications on the computing devices associated with the enterprise.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2022Date of Patent: June 4, 2024Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Clifford Paul Strom, Daniel Kevin McBride, Arvind Ramakrishnan, Yashraj Motilal Borse, Chittaranjan Pattekar

Publication number: 20240167954Abstract: Devices and methods are described for a contrast tray and framing devices for use with imagers. Some embodiments describe a contrast tray for use with an imager comprising one or more light diffusing layers configured to shift at least some of an imaging light and one or more light filtering layers configured to filter out at least some of the imaging light. Light diffusing and light filtering layers can be further configured to upconvert at least some of the diffused and/or non-filtered light. Contrast trays can be used to improve imaging of gels such as PAGE gels when using a green or blue-green light. Other embodiments of the disclosure describe a framing device that provides better illumination and lower background fluorescence for fluorescent gels, such as nucleic acid gels.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2023Publication date: May 23, 2024Applicants: Pierce Biotechnology, Inc., Life Technologies Holdings PTE LimitedInventors: Janaki Narahari, Aaron McBride, Chee Wai Chan, Gregory Kilmer, Paul Haney, Beng Heng Lim, Serina Perry, Soo Yong Lau, Zhixiong Tay, Yu Soon Su, Wei Guang Lee

Publication number: 20180326499Abstract: A method of recutting the surface of a wheel includes mounting the wheel on a rotatable mount, moving a probe across the surface of the wheel between an outer radial position and an inner radial position to obtain a radial surface profile and rotating the wheel about its axis on the rotatable mount. During rotation of the wheel, the position of a cutting tool with respect to the surface of the wheel is controlled to recut the surface of the wheel in accordance with the cutting profile. The wheel is tagged with a unique wheel identifier, and the unique wheel identifier is recorded into a database in association with an indication of an amount of material which has been removed from the surface of the wheel.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 17, 2016Publication date: November 15, 2018Inventor: Paul MCBRIDE

Patent number: 8407875Abstract: A tool for fastening fencing material to a post with a staple. The tool includes a base plate; first and second handles; first and second crimping arms, and a cam operatively engaged with the first handle. A slide is operatively engaged with the cam. The first and second handles and the first and second crimping arms are pivotally interconnected and attached to the base plate so that when the first and second handles are pivoted towards one another from an open position, the cam advances the slide, which advances the staple so that the crimping arms may crimp the staple to the fence post. A method for attaching the staple to a fence post is also described and claimed. An inventive staple is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2009Date of Patent: April 2, 2013Inventors: Bryce N. Gray, Dennis L. Wheeler, Vance T. Countryman, Paul A. McBride, Russell R. Myers, Cody S. Curtis, David W. Allan, Ryan A. Lingmann
