  • Patent number: 8206151
Abstract: A dental wedge for use in the inter-proximal space between adjacent teeth. The wedge includes a taper section ending at a tip, and a body section extending to the tapering section at one end. The body section has an inverted V-shaped cross-section, flexing of the sides of the V-shape allowing the wedge to adapt to various contours of the inter-proximal space. The mid-portion of the body section is narrower than at least a portion of the wedge at either end of the mid-portion.

  • Publication number: 20090271806
Abstract: Techniques to modify a document using a latent transfer surface are described. An apparatus may comprise a document editing subsystem comprising a transfer surface creation module operative to embed a latent transfer surface in the document. A transfer control module may be communicatively coupled to the transfer surface creation module. The transfer control module may be operative to receive a transfer request to transfer media content for the document, and transfer the media content using the latent transfer surface in response to the transfer request. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20090039104
Abstract: A device (10) for concurrently depositing different semi-solid products (12, 14) and 16 in a container (18) in respective vertically-oriented, distinct, homogeneous masses includes first and second inlet ports (24) and (26) provided at an upper end of a main filler tube (20) and first and second filler tube outlet ports disposed in a nozzle-form outlet opening (52) at a lower distal end of the main filler tube (20). A dividing insert is carried within the main filler tube (20) in a generally vertical orientation in a position separating the tube (20) into first and second channels. The first and second channels provide fluid communication between the first inlet port (24) and the first outlet port and between the second inlet port (26) and the second outlet port.

  • Publication number: 20080268840
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a radio bearer reconfiguration in a cellular communication system, such as a UMTS communication system, comprises a reconfiguration instigator (301) which initiates a radio bearer reconfiguration for a radio bearer supporting a communication between a base station (105) and a user equipment (107). Rather than using a static worst case estimate, a reconfiguration switch time processor (309) determines a reconfiguration switch time in response to a dynamic parameter of the radio bearer reconfiguration process. In particular, the radio parameter may be a size of a radio bearer configuration message transmitted to the user equipment (107). The reconfiguration switch time is transmitted to the base station by a base station communication processor (311) and to the user equipment (107) by a UE communication processor (313). The base station (105) and the user equipment (107) reconfigure their circuitry to apply the reconfigured parameters from the reconfiguration switch time.

  • Patent number: 7284983
Abstract: A matrix band retainer for dental restoration has a unitary member of a stiff planar spring material. The unitary member has an open ring substantially in a first plane, with the plane of the material of the ring perpendicular to the first plane. A tine at each end of the open ring extends substantially normal to the plane of the ring. Each tine has a first planar portion extending from the ring and a second planar portion extending from the first planar portion. The second planar portion is at an angle to the first planar portion and adjoins the first planar portion to define a ridge. The ridges of each tine face each other across a gap. Each tine may be bifurcated at the end distal from the ring so that the distal portion of each of the first planar portion and the second planar portion are divided by a notch. A dental wedge can be inserted through the notch with the matrix band retainer in place.
