  • Patent number: 11963702
Abstract: A bolster system having a first bolster device, a second bolster device, and an adjustable tether that includes a one-way pre-tied slideable adjustment knot. The adjustment knot is at a first position prior to insertion of the first bolster device into a passageway in one or more bones. The second bolster device includes a body portion having an outer portion that is sized to be received in the passageway and/or in an aperture of a bone plate. The body portion also includes a channel that is sized to accommodate recessed and/or embedded placement of the pre-tied slideable adjustment knot. The second bolster device can also include an oversized plate portion that abuts against a cortex of a bone or a wall of a bone plate. The second bolster device can also include a threaded member or retention tab that lockingly secures the second bolster device to a bone plate.

  • Publication number: 20240001281
Abstract: A method for separating gaseous carbon dioxide from air is proposed by cyclic adsorption/desorption using a sorbent. The method includes the following sequential and in this sequence repeating steps: (a) contacting air with the sorbent to allow gaseous carbon dioxide to adsorb on the sorbent under ambient atmospheric pressure and temperature conditions; (b) isolating the sorbent from the flow-through; (c) inducing an increase of the temperature of the sorbent; (d) extracting the desorbed gaseous carbon dioxide from the unit and separating gaseous carbon dioxide from steam/water; and (e) bringing the sorbent to ambient atmospheric temperature and pressure conditions. The sorbent is a water retaining and/or porous support which before use in the cyclic process has been impregnated or wetted with a solution of a secondary amine compound and the sorbent is loaded by said secondary amine compound by at least 5% by weight.

  • Patent number: 11475021
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for ranking time dimensions. One example method includes receiving a request for an insight analysis for a dataset that includes a value dimension and a set of multiple date dimensions. Each date dimension is converted into a time series and a value quality factor is determined for each time series that represents a level of data quality for the time series. A time series informative factor is determined for each time series that represents how informative the time series is within a specified time window. An insight score is determined, for each time dimension, based on the determined value quality factors and the determined time series informative factors. The insight score for the time dimension is provided, for at least some of the time dimensions.

  • Publication number: 20220204651
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the preparation of micro- or nano crystalline cellulosic compositions from virgin cellulose containing amorphous and crystalline cellulose phases comprising the following steps: (A) contacting virgin cellulose with a first solvent, characterized in that the first solvent is an aqueous solution comprising 40-65 wt. % ZnCl2 in water, relative to the total weight of the of ZnCl2 and water, (B) dissolving the amorphous cellulosic phase, whereby the amorphous cellulosic phase is preferentially dissolved over the crystalline cellulosic phase, (C) separating the dissolved amorphous cellulose from the crystalline cellulose and preferably step C wherein the obtained micro- or nanocellulose has XRD type I structure, which then can be contacted with a second solvent comprising between 65 and 90 wt. % ZnCl2 in water to produce delaminated cellulose having XRD type II structure.
