    Abstract: A release liquid applying device of the known rotating wick type engages and is rolled by a fusing roller as it applies liquid to the roller. When resin based stock is used, a brake prevents rotation of the wick by the roller. This reduces the oil applied and reduces a tendency the rolling wick has to leave a pattern of locally excessive liquid in the oil on the roller.

  • Oil reservoir assembly for fusing apparatus

    Abstract: An oil reservoir for a fuser can be selectively assembled to accept either of two sources of oil and reject the other source. The reservoir has two different openings. An intermediate member has alternative coupling means to fit either opening. The intermediate member accepts a different source of oil depending upon which opening it is coupled to and reject the other source.
