  • Publication number: 20200248350
Abstract: A washing machine appliance includes a wash basket rotatably mounted within a wash tub and supported by a front bearing and a rear bearing. A method of operating the washing machine appliance includes rotating the wash basket within the wash tub at a basket speed and obtaining first and second displacement amplitudes of the wash tub. Bearing forces at the front and rear bearings are obtained based on the basket speed and the displacement amplitudes. The determined bearing force at the front bearing is compared to a front limit. The determined bearing force at the rear bearing is compared to a rear limit. If the determined bearing force value at either of the front bearing or the rear bearing is greater than or equal to the respective limit, an operating parameter of the washing machine appliance is adjusted to limit bearing forces resulting from out-of-balance loads.

  • Patent number: 10621600
Abstract: A method for analyzing web visitors using anonymized behavior production models begins with a website visitor accessing a website. The website includes a web beacon, which redirects the website visitor's browser to the server of a marketing services provider (MSP). The MSP server reads a cookie previously set by the MSP that includes an anonymous link. The anonymous link may be used to match data related to the website visitor that is maintained by the MSP, and browsing activity for that visitor is stored in an activity database from which periodic reports may be constructed for the website owner. The anonymous link is not associated with any personally identifiable information (PII), and thus privacy for the visitor is maintained.

  • Patent number: 10592920
Abstract: A system for multichannel marketing includes a redirect link that takes the place of an ordinary link to a landing page in an advertisement or interest page. A consumer activating the link is redirected momentarily to a server maintained by a marketing services provider. A cookie on the consumer's device is used to link data about this consumer to other data about the consumer that is maintained by the marketing services provider. The consumer data is held in an area where no personally identifiable information (PII) is maintained. The system allows a marketer to better track multichannel marketing efforts and to analyze the results of multichannel marketing without comprising the privacy of consumers.

  • Publication number: 20200018007
Abstract: A washing machine appliance, including one or more methods of operation, is provided herein. The washing machine appliance includes a wash basket rotatably mounted within a wash tub and being supported by a front bearing and a rear bearing. A method of operating the washing machine appliance includes rotating the wash basket within the wash tub at a basket speed and obtaining a front displacement amplitude, a rear displacement amplitude, and a wobble angle of the wash tub. Based at least in part on these measured values, front and rear bearing force amplitude thresholds and virtual bearing force values are calculated and compared. If the virtual bearing force value of either the front or rear bearing exceeds the respective bearing force amplitude threshold, an operating parameter of the washing machine appliance is adjusted to limit bearing forces resulting from out-of-balance loads.

  • Publication number: 20190316287
Abstract: A washing machine appliance configured to detect a location of an imbalanced load is provided. The washing machine appliance utilizes the displacement or a component of the displacement of a tub of the washing machine appliance to determine the location of an out-of-balance load. In particular, the washing machine compares the displacement or component of the displacement of the tub at a first point with the displacement of the tub at a second point that is positioned forward of the first point. By comparing the displacement or components of the displacement of the tub at these two points, the location of the imbalanced load may be determined. Methods for determining imbalanced loads are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10313433
Abstract: A method for registering software systems in data-sharing sessions is provided. A set of data-sharing session definitions are stored in storage of a computer system, each of said data-sharing session definitions identifying a set of software system types permitted to participate in data-sharing sessions governed by the data-sharing session definition. A participant registration request is received from a first software system. A priority value is determined, via the computer system for the participant registration request, for each of a first subset of the data-sharing session definitions. • Patent number: 10214844
Abstract: A method for operating a washing machine appliance includes flowing a volume of liquid into a tub, agitating articles within the tub for a first period, the tub containing the volume of liquid, and measuring movement of the tub during agitation of the articles within the tub, the tub containing the volume of liquid. The movement is measured as one or more displacement amplitudes using an accelerometer and a gyroscope. The method further includes agitating articles within the tub for a second period when the final measured movement is greater than an out-of-balance movement threshold, the tub containing the volume of liquid. The method further includes draining liquid from the tub when the final measured movement is less than the out-of-balance movement threshold, and spinning a basket after draining liquid from the tub.

  • Patent number: 10108918
Abstract: A method and system for assessing the data leakage threat associated with third-party tags on a particular website, such as a content publisher site, is assessed by mimicking a standard web browser. Each third-party tag on the site is identified and investigated in a hierarchical manner, and a data leakage threat score is assigned to each third-party tag based on certain attributes associated with the tag and the resource linked by the third-party tag. A cumulative data leakage threat score is then calculated to determine if the site is a data leakage threat, such as a threat for misuse of a consumer's data.

  • Patent number: 10030330
Abstract: A method for washing articles in a wash chamber of the washing machine appliance is provided. The method includes providing a tub and a basket, the basket rotatably positioned within a tub, with an amount of wash water for washing one or more articles positioned in the basket. After the wash cycle, the method initiates a spin cycle while maintaining at least a minimum amount of wash water from the wash cycle in the basket and tub. Maintaining the wash water during the initiation of the spin cycle can assist in preventing an imbalance of the wash load. For example, the wash load may be more evenly distributed during the draining of the wash water, as the wash basket is spinning during such draining of the wash water.
