    Abstract: An open-ended nestable shipping container with an integral holding and locating panel and a container blank for forming such a container is disclosed. In one embodiment there is provided an article top panel whose size is larger that the article top such that all panel edges extend beyond all edges of the periphery of the article top rim. A first cavitied panel is connected to the side edge of the article top panel and extends across the article rim underside, whose size is the same or similar to the article top panel. The first cavitied panel consists of one hinged, cut and scored first article side and bottom protector. The second cavitied panel is connected to the side edge of the article first cavitied panel, and is layer folded against the first cavitied panel, whose side is the same or similar to the article first cavitied panel. The second cavitied panel consists of two hinged, cut and scored article end and bottom protectors.

    Abstract: An open-ended shipping carton with an integral tray and a carton blank for forming such a carton are disclosed. In one embodiment there is provided a tray panel which extends across the base of the article, a first side panel connected to a side edge of the tray panel and extending across a side of the article, a top panel connected to a top edge of the first side panel and extending across the top of the article, a second side panel connected to the opposite side edge of the top panel and extending across the side of the article which is opposite the first side, and a bottom panel connected to the bottom edge of the second side panel. The bottom panel extends under the tray panel and is secured so that the carton fits closely around the top, sides and base of the article.
