  • Patent number: 4481542
Abstract: In a color video hard copy recorder having different areas for recording information representing different colors using a scanning light beam, means are provided for generating signals identifying the different areas and controlling the scanning responsive to the signals so as to record different color information at the different areas.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4412230
Abstract: Apparatus and Method for providing images on a photosensitive media is disclosed. The invention provides for the multi-point exposure correction of recorded grey scale hardcopy images which utilizes line by line attenuation of video data in a unique pattern. Also exposure compensation is provided for by decreasing the amplitude of the video signal, on a line by line basis, from a predetermined nominal value which is in the recording cathode ray tube's dynamic range. The invention thus performs its function without compromising the dynamic range of the recording mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4358192
Abstract: A processing system for heat developed photosensitive recording material or media is provided. This system processes the media with a minimum of waste of recording material. The media is processed at a fixed temperature and for a fixed period of time regardless of the speed at which the media passes through the processor. In one embodiment the system utilizes recirculating air to process the media. The heated air is captured in an oven configuration which employs the media itself as part of the air circulation path.

  • Patent number: 4271842
Abstract: The apparatus includes an input controller connected to receive input data representing ultrasonic sector images of a patient for digitizing selected ones of the images thereby representing those images in a digital format. A front panel interface is provided for specifying the selected ones of the sector images to be digitized. Storage means are provided for storing the digitized data and processor means are provided for controlling the digitizing and storing of the input sector data and for enhancing the digital images. Display means are provided for displaying the enhanced sector images.

  • Patent number: 4047819
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring the optical density of a sample includes a dual beam spectrophotometer producing sample and reference signals which are compared with the discharge curve of a resistive-capacitive circuit to provide start-stop signals, the time interval between the two signals being indicative of optical density. Embodied within this linearization means is a novel method of correcting for nonlinearities due to stray light. The start and stop signals are used to drive a linear ramp generator, the stop signal terminating the ramp at an analog signal level indicative of optical density.

  • Patent number: 4034744
Abstract: An ultrasonic scanning system for observing the internal organs of the body including at least one ultrasonic transducer for sequentially scanning a region of the body and pulsing means for periodically pulsing said transducer as it begins a scan. Video recording means records a composite signal including scanning, pulse rate and echo information for reproduction. Display means are included for directly displaying the information or for displaying the play-back from the video recorder. The display is interlaced, providing minimum jitter and maximum resolution.
