  • Patent number: 7288054
Abstract: A reformer exercise apparatus has a generally rectangular frame having a head end and a foot end and including a pair of spaced apart parallel track members, a movable carriage mounted on the frame for movement along the track members between said head and foot ends against one or more springs connected between the carriage and the foot end of the frame and an adjustable foot bar assembly mounted at the foot end of the frame. The foot bar assembly includes a foot bar and a foot bar support bar that fits into a pair of support brackets. Each bracket is a generally block shaped body fastened to the foot end of the frame. The bracket has a plurality of vertically spaced, downwardly opening slanted slots therein for receiving the support bar, each slanted slot having an entrance portion extending upward to an enlarged support portion at a base of the slot for retaining the support bar therein. The enlarged support portion forms a pocket to positively retain the support bar.

  • Patent number: 4858069
Abstract: A compact electronic housing for a satellite earth station is described. The compact electronic housing comprises a first compartment and a second compartment separated by a panel common to both compartments. The first compartment contains electronic components and is atmospherically isolated from outside air and the second compartment. The electronic components comprise a plurality of groupings. The second compartment provides for movement of outside air into the second compartment through a bottom opening and out a top opening by a chimney effect cooling a plurality of heat exchangers. The panel dividing the two compartments comprises a plurality of conductive heat transferring elements for transferring heat from the electronic components to the plurality of heat exchanger element.

  • Patent number: 4399428
Abstract: A thermostat monitoring and controlling the temperature of produce ripening within an enclosure and featuring a bridge circuit sensing errors between the actual and desired temperatures in which the desired temperature is selected directly in units of degrees. A bridge amplifier having feedback maintains the bridge in electrical balance to avoid errors due to changes in bridge component self heating. An error detection circuit having a single control simultaneously selects upper and lower error limits centered on the desired temperature, in units of degrees. The circuit indicates whenever the actual temperature goes outside these limits. An alarm circuit indicates a temperature error or a power failure in the thermostat at the thermostat and at a remote location. This circuit utilizes an alternating current source which activates current direction-dependent indicators operating on alternate half cycles.
