  • Publication number: 20240351901
Abstract: Systems and methods for using calcium oxide as a carbon dioxide capture tool. The calcium oxide is repeatedly formed from calcium carbonate and is reacted with calcium dioxide back to calcium carbonate where liberated calcium dioxide from calcination of the calcium carbonate is done in a flash calciner and liberated carbon dioxide is captured using a different carbon capture methodology. This method allows for carbon dioxide capture at a location where other methodologies would not be useable and where the stable and generally safe nature of calcium carbonate allows for efficient transport of captured carbon dioxide.

  • Patent number: 5624713
Abstract: A method of increasing the lubricity of snow skis is disclosed in which an effective amount of a non-functional perfluoropolyether is applied to the base of the snow skis. Preferably, the method includes application of a non-functional perfluoropolyether, where the perfluoropolyether is a liquid at room temperature, having a pour point below 5.degree. F., a boiling point greater than 200.degree. F., and an average molecular weight of from 1,000 to 15,000.
