  • Publication number: 20240174191
Abstract: A rock rail assembly for a vehicle includes a mounting structure, an arm mounted to the mounting structure, a motor bracket coupled to the mounting structure, a motor mounted to the motor bracket, a pivot bar pivotably coupled with the mounting structure, a rail coupled with the pivot bar and operable to move between stowed and deployed positions, and a sector gear coupled to the pivot bar. The motor has a shaft that includes a first end, a second end, and a worm gear portion. Operation of the motor drives rotation of the shaft. The sector gear is operably engaged with the worm gear portion of the shaft, such that rotation of the shaft by the motor drives pivotal movement of the pivot bar relative to the mounting structure, causing movement of the rail coupled thereto between the stowed and deployed positions.

  • Publication number: 20240174034
Abstract: A tire rolling resistance estimation system estimates a real-time rolling resistance coefficient of a tire, and includes a tire sensor unit that measures a tire inflation pressure and a tire temperature. A processor is in electronic communication with the tire sensor unit. A steady state coefficient determination module in communication with the processor determines a steady state rolling resistance coefficient of the tire. A steady state tire temperature module in communication with the processor receives the steady state rolling resistance coefficient of the tire and estimates a steady state tire temperature of the tire. A real-time rolling resistance coefficient module in communication with the processor receives the steady state tire temperature of the tire and estimates a real-time rolling resistance coefficient of the tire from the steady state rolling resistance coefficient and a difference between the steady state tire temperature and a current tire temperature from the tire sensor unit.

  • Patent number: 11994056
Abstract: Estimating soot comprises connecting exhaust pipe to engine, exhaust pipe has diesel oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filter. Fuel injector is connected to exhaust pipe upstream from diesel oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filter. Delta exhaust pressure sensor measures difference in exhaust pressure at inlet and outlet to diesel particulate filter. Controller is connected to fuel injector and to delta exhaust pressure sensor. Controller determines when to conduct active regeneration of diesel particulate filter based on estimated amount of soot accumulated therein. Controller, in first regeneration mode, causes fuel injector to inject fuel at first rate into exhaust stream, and re-evaluates soot accumulated within diesel particulate filter under increased volumetric flow of exhaust stream. Controller, in second regeneration mode, causes fuel injector to inject fuel at second rate, larger than first rate, into exhaust stream to combust soot trapped in diesel particulate filter.

  • Publication number: 20230401770
Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a method and system for an augmented reality based indoor navigation. The system creates an augmented reality (AR) based fingerprinting to perform the dynamic routing. A floor wise plan of the building is uploaded. The floor plan is converted to a floor plan graph. Then cloud anchors are created and placed across the floor. An anchor is a fixed position and orientation in the real world as recognized by any Augmented Reality (AR) device. Each time an anchor is placed, its position information is fingerprinted on the floorplan graph and that fingerprinting is saved in the database. When user scans for nearest QR code to identify their current position, the user location is identified and the planogram details, fingerprinting and pre-processed floorplan matrix are obtained from database. When user selects his destination, dynamic routing is performed to obtain shortest/optimized path viewed through augmented reality fingerprinting.
