  • Publication number: 20180276414
Abstract: Disclosed is a multi-region data center connectivity solution for seamless integration between multi-region data center users and content. The solution supports user pinning (e.g., users and their personal content can be pinned to a particular geographical location/data center); protects personal content (e.g., personal content uploaded by a user is stored in that user's pinned geographical location/data center); and enables data sharing between multi-region data center users in a manner that is seamless and transparent to end users, while respecting user privacy, complying with data sovereignty requirements, and maintaining system anonymity.

  • Publication number: 20180268291
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to data mining, and more particularly to system and method for mining data to generate actionable insights. In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving an input data and a target data, and detecting a defect in the target data using a neural network based predictive model and a scorecard rule table. The scorecard rule table comprises a plurality of scorecards corresponding to a plurality of nodes of the neural network. Each of the scorecards comprises a plurality of rules corresponding to a plurality of data variables in the input data. The method further comprises determining at least one root cause for the defect by determining at least one significant scorecard and at least one significant rule that contributed to the detection of the defect, and generating one or more actionable insights based on the at least one root cause.

  • Patent number: 9958427
Abstract: A drop-in probe for determining phase changes by thermal analysis of a sample of a molten metal includes a measurement head having a first end which is an immersion end and an opposing second end having an end face. A sample chamber is arranged within the measurement head. An opening, which is free of any restrictions and which is in communication with the sample chamber, is formed in the end face of the second end of the measurement head. The sample chamber includes a first thermocouple having a first thermocouple junction enclosed within a wall which has a uniform internal geometry. A ratio D/H of an internal diameter D of the sample chamber to a length H extending between the opening and the first thermocouple junction is between 0.1 and 1.2.

  • Patent number: 9942037
Abstract: A system for managing cryptographic keys and trust relationships in a secure shell (SSH) environment by mapping network servers, clients, and appliances and locating SSH keys and key pairs associated with each device. The system provides for mapping the network topology and all SSH keys and key pairs stored on network connected devices, and the creation of a master database of all devices, keys and key pairs, key types and encryption strength, and user accounts with which each key or key pair is associated. The mapping and database enable the effective management of SSH keys and key pairs, detection of errors and weakness, elimination of orphaned or outdated keys, correction of all deficiencies, and replacement of keys in accordance with policies set by the organization maintaining the network.

  • Publication number: 20180073962
Abstract: An immersion device for collecting a slag sample and measuring a molten metal parameter is provided. The immersion device includes an inflow conduit for directing the molten slag to a slag sample chamber and a measuring element for measuring the parameter of the molten metal. The inflow conduit and the measuring element are arranged in the top area of an immersion end of the immersion device and/or are facing towards an immersion direction. During immersion in the immersion direction into the molten slag and then the molten metal, the molten slag enters an external portion of the inflow conduit and is directed through an inner portion of the inflow conduit to the slag sample chamber. Reliable slag collection and molten metal measurement also in a converter can thereby be achieved. A method of collecting a slag sample and measuring a molten metal parameter is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20170268695
Abstract: Many operators choose not to utilise partial-stroke testing arrangements even when the equipment required for it to be performed is available, due to a perceived risk of over-travel and/or spurious trip. To alleviate this, we describe a safety valve system comprising a valve operable to move between an operating state and a safe state, a valve actuator operatively connected to the valve to control its state, and including a bias toward the safe state, a pair of drive members powered by a pressure media, each acting against the bias to urge the valve toward the operating state, a first control valve arranged to selectively convey pressure media to both drive members and to withdraw supply on receipt of a safety trigger, and a second control valve arranged to selectively convey pressure media to one drive member only of the pair and to withdraw supply on receipt of a test signal.
