Abstract: A system for diagnosing a heart condition comprises an imaging system (102) arranged to acquire two images of the heart at respective points in the cardiac cycle, and locating means, which may be manually operated or automatic, for locating a series of pairs of points on the images. Each pair of points indicates the respective positions of a single part of the heart in the two images. The system further comprises a processor (108) arranged to calculate from the positions of said pairs of points a value of at least one parameter of the deformation of the heart. It may further be arranged to compare the value of the at least one parameter with reference data to generate a diagnostic output.

Abstract: A solar tracking system comprising a bed rotatable about a turntable, the bed supporting at least one post structure, the post structure supporting a solar panel assembly, the solar panel assembly being pivotable to the post structure about a horizontal axis, and direct drive means to rotate the bed and pivot the solar panel assembly, whereby ball and socket linkages secure the solar panel assembly to the post structure and a lever arm coupled to the solar panel assembly through ball and socket linkages imparts drive to cause the solar panel assembly to pivot about a horizontal axis and a floating drive is positioned between the bed and the turntable so that the tracking system can absorb twisting deflections.

Abstract: Apparatus for foaming milk comprises a body defining a foaming chamber, a nozzle insertable into milk located in a milk container, a conduit arrangement for conveying milk to the foaming chamber from the nozzle, means for drawing milk through the conduit arrangement to the foaming chamber, a foamed milk outlet configured to return foamed milk to the container, a temperature sensor for monitoring the temperature of milk being supplied to the foaming chamber, and a controller arranged to terminate the drawing of milk along the nozzle depending on the monitored temperature.
